Agree with everything you said in the video. I feel like with flocked head duck decoys you have to reflock them every year for that fresh new color pop.

I purchased 6 wigeon as an experiment. I keep them in divided canvas, they are stored indoors, and only hunted with them a half dozen times. The color is still pretty good but they scuff very easily. I have AvianX decoys that are 4 years old that have held up better. Removable weights are a good idea but aluminum fasteners aren't. I've thought of a couple solutions to the fastener issue but not sure I'm investing my time in these decoys. As a retired owner of a manufacturing company I know how difficult it is to bring quality products to market. Hopefully they get this straightened out.

Yeah screw that they are expensive af and claim to last that's why they are astronomical priced and I would hunt them the same and be real mad when they busted up and the eyes fell off. Might as well buy that flash duck that the head spins around dunking for 350 a pop lol

I knew with the foam that the pain wouldn’t hold up. The only good thing is you can shoot them and all that. I got the GHG and I won’t say they look brand new but they still are full of color and it’s been 5 seasons now.

Honestly a great starter decoy are the Cabelas northern flight mallards. Plan to do a review video of them, but they are solid decoys and you can buy a dozen for $50. That’s what I recommend to any new hunter because you can get a good amount of decoys without breaking the bank. I would personally go that route and spend the money you saved on other gear! I guess you could say both. During hunting season they were left in a jet sled or boat most of the time (boat gets covered though.) After the season all my decoys get put up until fall comes back around. With that said, I also use several other brands of decoys and did not notice anything near the amount of fading, if any. I have these decoys and ive never had a problem with them, i only use them for walk in hunts. Buying flocked decoys are a waste of money in my opinion.

Why would you buy flocked decoys and then abuse them? I don't hunt flocked decoys because I don't want to deal with slotted bags on the long hikes I do.

I had a bad experience with the paint faded to pink in one season Contact lifetime there answers was all decoys fade Not true. Spend your money elsewhere
