this is like what dance moms should've been always- not necessarily onlY showing when kids got hurt, but scenes like this build tension and still show everyone in a good light. i mean it's not always possible, because not everyone is nice all the time, but this is like... perfect? - lily got hurt, but tried to walk it off and not make a big deal of it, but still knew her limits and took a break - gianina immediately checked on lily, and continued to check on her - abby told lily how she got hurt, and gave her the correction without yelling or trying to make her feel stupid - all of the moms noticed lily was tapping out and tried to get stacey to her asap - and stacey checked on lily, and didn't yell at abby for the props being unsafe. she was more concerned with helping lily and trying to find a way to prevent another kid getting hurt or her kid getting hurt again. i feel like if the show tried, it could have found more moments like this to showcase and made the show more about the dance rather than the moms.

Niamya Essence I love how y’all like to comment whatever you want without knowing anything about it, Chloe was in an acro class, she was learning new acro skills. This includes things like front Ariels, chin/elbow stands and more, if another kid, or even Chloe, was to place their arm or stand on her hair while she was doing a trick it would be so painful. Also it would totally ruin her sight if her hair was in her face, Abby was doing it for Chloe’s safety. This situation is different, the girls aren’t doing too much acro, and the skills they are doing are ones they are confident with. In the dance they preform with their hair down, it would be a disaster on stage if they didn’t rehearse with their hair like this.
