By looking at the waves I believe you went to Bandstand promenade during high tide mate. That's the best time to watch the sea from bandstand.

In my forty years of Mumbai life I've quite often come to Bandstand area Via Hill Rd upto the Five Star Hotel Searock (now name changed).But some places seem to have changed after the St.Andrews Church Etc..
