Just got a 2011 e90 m3..even tho it came with things I got to fix I love the car! It’s pretty quick but that’s because it’s a stage 2 pretty much..and the car handles so well, I love the interior, and how it drives, it literally feels like a race car, close to a Porsche gt3 I’d say

I bought one from some guy on Craigslist a 2011 e92 m3 with 62k miles and the 2nd day I was driving it pretty hard and I got a transmission malfunction light and went into limp mode when I got home I saw a pretty small puddle of transmission oil on my drive way😔. I've been messaging shops and looking up on forums about dct transmission leaks and I guess there pretty comes with these cars but I'm just hoping when I take it to get diagnosed its just a leaking oil pan or a gasket that'll be a cheap fix and not a new transmission😭😭

Yes there is a lot a big difference with the 90 and a 92 I think the E 90 will be a more expensive classic and three Denteley e92 is very common also the hoods are different

Copper rod bearings were only featured in 07’s (European Market) and 08’s. In 2009 they were updated. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. There are 08’s out there with 150+k miles on stock bearings, and 13’s that have had their rod bearings fail at 40k miles. What matters most is how the car was warmed up, and how frequently the car has had oil changes. If you aren’t sure of the history of the car, it’s best to change them. Additionally, if the car is nearing 100k miles on the stock bearings, it’s probably a good idea to change them as well just for peace of mind, regardless of the cars maintenance history. These guys have cool cars, but don’t know too much about them besides from aesthetic details.
