My Father was a butcher (meatcutter ) in his own grocery store, Scavuzzo's Grocery in Harrisonville Missouri, he always brought home dented cans and out of date products, the only thing he would not let us have if it was dated was poultry, but beef and pork, he would smell it and check the color, if it was just a few days out of date we ate it, same with dented cans, if they were not bloated we used it, life was so different back in the 1950s and 1960s

Feeding raw bones to your dog is beneficial and helps keep their teeth clean. RAW bones. You should NEVER feed cooked bones to your dog. It is very dangerous as they can splinter and cause your dog to choke. I was a little surprised you didn't already know this. Hearing Nico chomping away on the cooked bones from that leg of lamb made me feel quite uncomfortable. I am very relieved that she didn't have any resulting issues. Why you mention you would check to see if it was OK AFTER giving them the bones is unclear to me. I feed my dog raw chicken bones whenever I filet chicken, as a treat. I also give him raw beef bones regularly for his enjoyment and his dental health. Chicken, lamb and beef bones should never be given to your animals once they've been cooked. Pork bones, cooked OR raw should also be kept from your dog. Check with your vet to confirm what I have said if you need to, but please never feed them cooked bones, or at least don't show video of this to your subscribers. Be well.

In future it's usually not a good idea to feed your dog ANY type of cooked bone. This is because the cooked bone gets hardened by the cooking process and they can choke on the bone if the wrong type of hardened pieces give in their windpipes.

@@m.e.d.7997Emma did ask whether or not they could have the bone and said she would Google it. However, accidents can happen in a split second as happened to my friend’s dog when he accidentally got hold of a cooked bone from a joint of meat. She took it from him straight away but he still needed medical treatment! Thankfully, he didn’t need surgery but it was a very close call. Also a client of mine lost her dog through swallowing the tiniest piece of cooked chicken bone. @MrBulky992Күн бұрын
So when would they reduce their produce then as it wouldn't be displayed at all *beyond* its date? Perhaps you are going to the wrong supermarket! At the ones I go to, the produce is often marked down on the day it's due to expire. When having stuff delivered in the evening, I have even had refunds for produce which has not quite expired (and been allowed to keep it) because they know I cannot use it before it expires and it would go in the skip if returned!
