Alabama started in 1969 but had their biggest success in the 1980s. The band blends traditional country music & Southern rock combined with elements of bluegrass, folk, gospel & pop music. Some of their most famous songs are "Tennessee River", "Love In The First Degree", "If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have A Fiddle In The Band)", "Song Of The South" etc.

Wonderful reaction. Nothing against any other duo - band - group because I like all of them , just that with the level of success Alabama has had ; I would bet they won't be succeeded by any one in my lifetime - maybe never.
