Hi. when i use a needle to go through the colors it drags up the black nail polish with the colors. am i applying too much pressure?

Ahhhh..... :) Maybe yes, you press it so hard, or the nail polish is too thick, or it already begins to dry when you drag the needle. :) Try to use not quick dry polishes... I struggle with it too, because companies mostly make quick dry ones lately :)
