TK's strategy is to build or mod as many lifts as possible that are in public or government owned buildings / public spaces, so they can charge a lot for maintenance, since governments have loads of money and changing supplier takes a lot of effort compared to let's say a privately owned (=for-profit) tower block. That's why there are many Thyssencrapps in metros, train stations, museums, airports etc. TK can ripoff governments because these aren't so price sensitive when it comes to maintenance contracts. Smart, isn't it?

all big lift companys do this by locking their logic down to stop other companys mainting them which restricts the owners choice

Well in Australia, it’s the complete opposite, literally everywhere they use Liftronic Generics, it’s better than a UK generic because of it using NewLift logic, it’s actually very rare to see a normal big company lift anywhere

That first orona has got some nice, quality buttons. The carpark of my local Ikea has 3 big orona lifts with the same buttons. But that’s really the only good thing about as the voice module’s sound quality has degraded a lot. Also the doors are cheap and flimsy as they scratch against each other. Not great for something that’s about 5 years old. That hotel room doesn’t even appear to have a window. I think the sink of room above is causing the leakage. I should not have accepted a room that is flooded. Eventhough it’s a budget hotel you should have functional room that’s not a health hazzard. If a hotel is that bad you might as well have slept in tent on a camping instead.

6:24 - I almost rode this lift while I was in Lille, however when it arrived I discovered someone had taken a massive crap in the lift, and it stank so i took the stairs 🤮 I think it had been modded to ThyssenKrupp by then (it had a TK sticker I think) so i've nicknamed it the ThyssenCrapp lmao
