I like your lift voice impressions. Most preserved railways are maintained as "light railways" which is why they have a maximum speed of 25 mph. The Severn Valley Railway is quite long actually, and in the summer season will have about 4 different engines pulling the trains. Although they're slow, preserved railways are much less expensive than main line rail tours. People also enjoy hearing the engines forging up hill with heavy trains.

Yeah redditch has a lot of car parks I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve never seen on top of the lifts and I would imagine that the doors that aren’t used on the last set of lifts are for a service area. Love your content

I’d recommend Shrewsbury, Very interesting spread across 3 shopping centres, all quite old, with 2 now abandoned/closed and all the tenants moved into the bigger one. Telford has the potential to be interesting although it’s not great, worth a visit though.

Even though the "safety bicycle" was invented in the Midlands (Coventry to be specific), the midlands was infected with car-centric urban planning in the 1950s-2000s which is probably why there are so many multi-storey car parks. Also, at 22:00 that looks like a BR Class 06 Shunter so no wonder those heritage trains will be running so slowly 🙂, you need to also remember that maintenance of trains is very expensive, especially old steam and diesel trains of which there will be very few spare parts to use and it'd be unlikely for these heritage railways to engineer their own replacement parts and so there is no doubt that they purposely run heritage trains slower because the parts wear out more slowly which would then reduce maintenance times considerably...

I think heritage railways are forced to stick to a very low speed limit by HSE and/or insurance. At least they still run at all, unlike aeroplane museums.

The Shuttleworth Collection is the exception, as most of their aeroplanes are airworthy. Duxford also has quite a number of airworthy planes as well.

Would still like to see if you can get in the BT tower (originally the Post Office tower) in Birmingham that I believe is now obsolete, if you managed that an even bigger challenge would be going down to the restricted area basement, I've heard rumours that it leads to a complex of underground tunnels below the city.

in cheltenham, theres a car park at recently got abandoned; that led to a old lidl that is now the location of storage rooms. the lift and the car park are really creepy, if it even still works now. would be interesting to explore. the only problem is finding a way to get in
