Very interesting. I'm doing some recon to see if its possible to run up to the top of the Majestic Centre without too much hassle or getting into trouble. So this footage will definitely help with that. Thanks.

Probably the best video I’ve seen of the lifts here, bar none! Also, somebody told me that the chimes on the main elevators (not the carpark ones) are actually of EPL descent, and given that the elevators were installed in around the 80’s/90’s, they might just be the original chimes. Whereas the carpark lifts were probably installed with classic KONE M chimes, and they replaced the ones at the lobby with generic chimes… Would certainly be very interesting to come back after modernisation to see what they’ll be like! I’m hoping for a KONE Polaris system similar to the PWC Building & Deloitte Centre.

What worries me is if they lock everything off, as that is what has happened on almost all Destination Dispatch mods in Wellington.

Ah, I almost forgot about that! Just gotta hope they don’t… 🤞🤞🤞

I wonder if the KONE M keyswitches in the car park lifts are ABLOY keyswitches.

Would love to know who was the originator of this so-called "Asian KONE M-Series" term in the lift community.

Certainly wasn't me....

Yeah, I know it wasn't you. Whoever it was that person have been spreading misconception, as I think these fixtures are another variant of the European M, probably some sort of "premium" variant for high rise lifts or luxury buildings. I've seen other videos of similar lifts like this on KZbin which are actually in Europe (and also one in Canada), and IIRC someone even filmed a tiny KONE lift with these fixtures somewhere in Scandinavia.

80 Collins in Melbourne have been PORTed by Schindler; were Kone M-Series though
