LIFT TOUR | Wellington Hospital ULTIMATE edition! | Christmas Special 2022

This is the culmination of 18 months of work finding the time to film & edit this whilst also waiting for various onsite lift projects to be completed. I'm so pleased ton finally be able to get this video out!
**Disclaimer** - I work at this hospital, hence I have access to key-carded areas & staff-only lifts.

On the Silver Lifts do they have the big colour sign like outside the White Lift On the Purple Lifts why do they not have the twin doors anymore on the old Children’s Ward why did you not go to 2 on the Blue lifts why is there a blank button after 12 also why did you not go to level 1 or 12 in the staff WSB lifts and on the yellow lifts why is Level 2 locked even though the other old lifts that go to 2 are unlocked also do you know what they are going to use the the old child’s ward for

Hi, lots of questions, but I have answers for them all: 1) No, only a smaller sign as they not public lifts. 2) The rear doors on the old lift had not been used for a very long time, and the layout of some areas of the building has been changed meaning that they're no longer needed. 3) I have no clue what the black button is for - as far as I know it doesn't do anything. 4) At the time of filming the WSB staff lifts I was still very new to the hospital (had only been there a few months at the time - some of the lifts for this video were filmed back in 2021), so was still not familiar with exactly where I was and was not allowed to go. 12 would probabaly be okay, but 1 I think not. 5) Level 2 is staff only - the older lifts don't need to lock it as they are staff-only-lifts so the public should not be using them to begin with. 6) Yes I do know what it will be used for, but cannot reveal that a this stage as it's not been released to the public (there has not even been a full staff-wide announcement). As an employee, I have to be careful about what I do and don't say, as I do not want to get into trouble for saying something I shouldn't.

Interesting voice on the first Schindlers! Is this a very common voice? They have older looking Schindler doors. Very audible motor on lift 8! Any ideas as to why there's a plate over the indicators on the service lifts? WaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaaaa door motor sound! Love it! I like the black COP's on the children's lifts too! Shame there aren't many of these over here! The old purple lifts were pretty fast! They had ADO too! The goods lifts in the CSB building are running on their original controllers! Very rare! DC Generator powered? This is most likely what the purple lifts used to look like! Those blue lifts are incredibly rare - are there any videos of the 2 lifts on the left working? KONE lifts with Orange arrows on the landings, and a yellow indicator inside, very nice! I would say these were Express originally. That white lift is amazing and so efficient! Those last goods lifts are very nice - good to see that they're being maintained. Fantastic video! Merry Christmas Alex!

The Black Linea is much more common over here, probabaly a side effect of Schindler's popularity in General, with them being the most popular lift company in NZ. The new Purple Lifts about as fast the old ones.....It's the slow doors that prevent them from being any quicker. If you can find any of my old Lift Tours of the Hospital you might find clips of the other blue lifts.

If I’m correct the Shindler 7000 is the next best thing to the M Series.

It's quite common here, on large model lifts like the 2400 or 2500. Also used in Modernization quite a lot. They didn't use it on the 5400 though, as they used D-Series for that instead.

Even I don't have access to there. 8 is a service & building facilities area, and 9 is the Helipad for when patients are transferred by Helicopter. I can access most places in the hospital as a staff member, but i can't be taking the piss by going to these areas that I should not be in.

@@user-xi9kd3ut6x Schindler. Specifically, all of the lifts in CSB and WSB blocks are being replaced with Schindler 7000s.
