Does tow haul hurt your truck when your in 4x4?.

Tow haul mode keeps the engine rev’s up higher and also downshifts for you (helps with heavy loads while towing) it’s really only useful in 2wd on pavement. Keep your truck in 4Hi off-road, unless you are getting into thicker sand /mud / rocks then you use 4LOW for everything extreme. 4LOW drops your gear ratio 4:1, meaning you actually have a set of extra gears specifically for 4LO. It’s rev’s your truck up a lot more (for max torque and HP off-road) when regular 4HI doesn’t cut it. Using 4LO puts less strain on your truck components especially when you put bigger tires / lift without changing the rear end gear ratio.

Matthew 824 lol, that’s Gross vehicle weight you’re talking about Genius!! Go actually look at the sticker. On the sticker on my DOOR for my 2006 f350 6.0 super cab , 8ft bed 4x4, says weight “ 7,109” LBS . Max GVWR is 11,800. You got your numbers mixed up buddy, check your info first Keyboard worrier. GVWR doesn’t mean how much your truck is, but how much it can be lol.
