It seems oop’s I’ve been watching and didn’t realize I never subscribed to your channel… being a retired builder I enjoy watching things being built.. I’m trying to be careful with my comment so I don’t come off as a chauvinist because I’m not… I’m singing your praises.. it’s not just the fact that your doing something that is not a typical thing for a woman to do but your pretty much doing it alone which is double tough. It amazes me how you figure this stuff out. You are one impressive person. Watching you makes me wish I could help

@@SpiritBearRanch In a video some time back, she & her family are on grid (hydro - electric). She hooked up electric wires to that tall board near the house build. The Bluetti she mentions is in case the electricity is down, they can plug in the refrigerator, etc. I thought they were going off grid too but they need certain things & electricity on the grid is what they choose to do. 👍

I have been using the AC200P in my garden since june 2022 till now. A fridge (0.2 kWh/d- yes no mistake i choose it for the low power consumption), well pump (~1100W), lifting tank (~600W), Coffee machine (~1800W),WLAN repeater (0.24 kWh/d), echo show(0.29 kWh/d), lights. I charge it with three 270Watt Solarpanels in series. It worked well through the whole summer, except for the really hot time when the well pump got used too much for irrigation. I then connected the pump back to the grid. All in all an easy solution, just place the solar panels, connect them to the box and you are done. I got about 160 kWh out of it from june to october. What needs to be said however is the high standby battery drain when the AC output is on. This uses - with no load! - about 2.5% of the battery capacity per hour. So after 10 hours AC switched on with no load 25% of the battery capacity is gone. This is, in my application for it, the biggest drain on the battery. During the summer the panels charged the box from about 8 am to 6 pm. From 6pm to 8 am are 12 hours, so with AC ON you loose 30% of the battery over night. There is a power saving feature, but then the WLAN repeater would be without power and with it the WLAN-hub for the irrigation system, effectively shutting it down. I used the irrigation during the night. Adding more solar panels is limited by the max voltage input of 150V and maximum current of 12A and maximum charge power of 700W via solar.

great video and so proud you can do this. I'm from the netherlands and I only found your channel a week ago. Meanwhile I watched most videos you post about your new cabin build. Regarding todays video, one suggestion. for the temporairily studs you use to secure the walls. Use screws and not nails as you need to remove them after the walls are up

hi biata hope you're good, a little tip for like in the video you cut some small pieces of wood you said it seems you always cut them too big. if you put the blade down on the mitre saw put the wood next too the blade and just push it into it so it bends out slightly hold the wood tight and let the blade up then trim the piece you should take off a very tiny amount until you have the perfect fit. another great vid impressive by yourself. x

You are a human dynamo, Biata ! Have never seen anyone with your work ethic and positive attitude in everything that you do. I'm long retired but if not for believing that if man made it ,man ( or woman) could fix it if it needed fixing I never could have afforded to have a home needing repairs to appliances, furnaces, etc and fixed them myself. Back then my go to was Popular Science/Mechanix magazines before the internet days. On KZbin today you can find out how to do almost anything if you sift out the the nonsense. Being a full time Mom and spouse while developing your 18 acre property is nothing but impressive on many levels . Stay safe !👍👍👍✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Takes a looong time that way, and a pig 🐖 of a job....But ya doing fantastic work!!!....If ya got termites don't forget the steel caps under ya stumps likee I do, and inspect em ....Or with that pine wood ya got, termites will quickly eat thru...I got australian ironbark frame which gave me time to stop em before they ate me house....Wish I could jump thru this screen and help ya on the other side....Anyway, enjoyed ya vid...Stay strong +safe Biata

@5:55 the double 2x on the end has a gap - cut wrong side of the line. Try to insert a shim piece to fill in the gap. This will allow the downward force to carry thru both 2x's. Keep hands away from the nail gun when nailing. Doing Solo great! Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing

Using nail guns are great for speed but they don’t pull boards together. Learn to use a framing hammer. My wife used a 24 ounce and I use a 28 ounce. We tacked things together with a nail gun and did the rest with hammers. Not too many people even know how to use a hammer these days. 😏😁

Get in the habit of doing double top and bottom plates. Makes it nice for trim. Don’t use pressure treated boards for bottom plate. They don’t hold nails. They go on the concrete then double plates on top of that.

Okay so how you square your wall up once it's laying down on the ground or it says stay on your floor you measure corner to corner diagonally and it takes two people to do it to hold the tape measure in the same spot and measure and you should be able to come up with almost the same amount of distance in there once you get that done take and put a toenail or two in there nail to the floor then put your sheeting on and start nailing your sheeting on I know the walls are heavy but that'll keep your walls straight and set them up

You're impressive, damn good job. Nailing the blocks on when standing the wall up is exactly how to do it. Near the beginning it looked like (might have just been camera angles...but it's worth mentioning anyway) your free hand might have been close to where you were nailing. Be real cautious of that. It sure is easy to not pay attention and have an oh shit moment. I've seen nails go in to the stud, catch the grain and curve right out through the wood before. Looking forward to the next vid.

Thank you so much! It was a blast framing it! I was trying to be cautious of where my hand was but could’ve easily had an “oh crap” moment!

@@SimpleLivingwithBiata Framing is fun for sure. Yes, you sure don't need anything exciting to happen. Those nails are moving so fast, they'll hook grain curvature and protrude sometimes.

If you would of nailed a 2x4 on the one side and left it loses so when you was put the wall up you could of use it as a brace when you were putting it up just a helpful tip is all I’m saying
