HI again... I was just re-viewing the design video from last year and.... did you decide on a rudder design? How about the engine system? Did you figure out the cockpit design and the engine room height? I assume you have the keel figured out as you made the pocket for it. Are there other design issues that have been fine tuned? Hmmm.. perhaps a design update episode??? ;)

I don't have the words to express how impressed I am at what you just accomplished. Fantastic, amazing, brilliant. The high degree of planning & preparation is what made today successful. A man and his wife, with the help of a few strong trees and some basic rigging tools, move a 50 ft sailboat hull out into the fresh air where Ran3 feels its first breeze. I'm a machinist by trade, and a woodworker by hobby. I use my high school level education and life experience, to fix the things engineers fuck up. I've only ever met one engineer, in my entire life, who was worth more than a septic tank full of stale piss and Taco Bell shits, and he started his career on the shop floor.

The number of skills that it takes to accomplish a project like this is amazing!! @15 minute mark, you cut bottom of doors, when you make the new piece, add some hinges so you can open them in the future without cutting again. Add some pins to keep it closed in the wind and weather stripping to both the hinge side and the bottom to help keep the cold out. If you have to do it, do it right for the future. Everything is going so well. Happy to keep watching.
