Welcome to archeage unchained.. finally not p2w and going strong.. the game has the biggest grind however and very hard to understand systems.. some find this good you have to figure shit out.. some feel its confusing.. Tips: Make your own food! Make sure you dont upgrade to hiram before the items have the stats you want(if not break it and redo the process). Make your own hereafter stones. Cut down every tree you see! (Lumber is the name of the game) its needed for everything. Join a guild for extra 7%exp buff ect also join a family when you started building ect often found within your guild. RNG when it comes to gear is brutal. At hiram grind abyssal mobs and use those items to fuze into your current gear.

Hi, thanks for the helpful video! I do have a question though. I currently don't have the explorers armor set or crate and I don't see it at the armor merchant but I do see other armor crates. Can I just choose one of those instead to upgrade to Hiram?

i just got around 10 materials by doing some stuff at the beginning of the game and i applied these things to my items but i still too weak comparing to other players who are the same level with me. How can i have more materials or is there anything like that ? Please answer it im soo lost

What happens if you deleted your startup gear? Is there a way to get gear that you can upgrade if you no longer have the startup gear?

So im on the fresh start server and I hit lvl 50 and opened my free Hiram gear and my dumb ass checked the cloth gear when I wanted leather. Is there a way to exchange or get the leather gear I need or am I pretty much f*cked? Can't believe I did that.

Would it matter to join the guild if I'm in North America? Would ping be a problem in guild activities?

It should be fine. I know a few people who do this. The ping is obviously better if using the native server, but in practicality, it is fine to play cross-atlantic =)

I feel dumb for deleting my lvl 1 scrolls after upgrading my gear. no bow or instrumewnt for me. Pretty dumb to hsve the ability to delete such important items.

So you think this game is worth buying? i did have original archeage but stopped playing it. i think if i remember it was due to ridiculous pricing of stuff in item mall and just getting bored of quests. I hard some good things about removing pay 2 win aspects, putting all content in one game without having to purchase a ton of dlc's etc. but i realized when looking into it i'd have to buy the game to play it as it's a completely separate game and a lot of reviews are negative. The consistent issue i'm reading in reviews is the horrible server stability/lag etc. is it as bad as they make it seem? They are also saying company is doing nothing to stop cheaters/hackers and already the economy is completely ruined? and that apparently all these exploiters are attacking low level players completely preventing them from making any progress in the game? i'm not too interest in open world PVP where hackers and cheaters are allowed to ruin gamer for everyone any anyone new can't have any possible way to play. So how is it your playing game or recommending this to others? i'm also reading that there is no in-game guide/tutorial and if you screw up your build you have to start over with the way gear system works? no way to fix?

I am going to paste a reply to the same question I answered on Discord: ArcheAge Unchained is the type of game that fits a niché group of MMORPG's enthusiasts. People who normally enjoy other MMORPG's such as World of Warcraft might not necessarily enjoy ArcheAge Unchained. I personally think its a great game, but it is not without its flaws. There are a few things in the game that makes me wonder how long I will keep playing it as the sandbox element, while enjoyable for some, isn't really to my liking. It has a rather steep learning curve and unless you put in a lot of effort to try and figure everything out you will be at a rather big disadvantage. It also is the type of MMORPG that primarily focuses on PvP and while there is lots of PvE stuff to do, I wouldn't get it unless you like PvP too at least. About the server issues; I have personally (not even once) had any issues with servers or ques, but I also made the decision to join a new server instead of picking the highest populated ones. I think the poor reviews are based on the first week where Gamigo had to lock character creation on some of the servers to prevent them from being flooded. This resulted in some people not being able to create characters on the servers that their friends were playing on and that obviously sucks. As for queue times, as I said I haven't experienced it at all, and to be frank if someone chooses to play on a high-pop server then they also have to accept queue times at the start of a new MMO launch, that's just how it is, we need to be realistic. Another issue was that there is no grace period in the game, so if you are on one of those queue heavy servers and you disconnect you have to wait in que again and that obviously seems like an oversight from the developers. As for cheaters - I haven't yet seen anyone cheat. What you have heard is most likely in regards to the Arche Pass "exploit", which basically allowed you to generate a large amount of gold by killing world-bosses. First of all, it can be argued that this isn't even an exploit, but rather just some players who took advantage of a system that wasn't properly tested. The people who grossly misused this have been banned and some received a temporary suspension. Honestly, while I am sure the majority of the ArcheAge community is great, there is a VERY vocal minority that complains about EVERYTHING. I have played many MMORPG's and I have honestly never seen such a whiny and entitled community (Reddit, forums, etc.). It is true that there have been issues, but if you read the subreddit you get the impression that these are the end of the world. In reality, 99% of all players aren't even going to notice the "exploit" that occurred and most people have absolutely no clue about what they are whining about, they just jump the bandwagon and start complaining for some reason. I am not defending Gamigo as these were (past time) real problems, I am just saying that the amount of whining and complaints about these issues are hugely overrepresented. My point here is that while ArcheAge Unchained certainly has areas it can improve at, it is not the launch server issues, nor the "exploit" that should hold you back from trying the game =) I had to write this in a hurry so you'll have to excuse the typos if there are any.

I've been playing since it launched, it's had it's up's and down's however it's not P2W which is what killed Legacy, so as long as they stay away from P2W it will still be on of the best PvP games on the market (In my opinion)
