I saw Jerry Reed open for Waylon Jennings in 1983, and let me tell you, he was 1000 times better as an entertainer and singer than Waylon. This was just a couple of years before Waylon hit heroin and cocaine but at the time I was less than impressed with Waylon Jennings and incredibly impressed and entertained by Jerry Reed. I am so happy that I got to see one of the greatest guitar pickers. The country music has ever known.

Waylon didn’t do heroin and he actually got sober in 1984 from the cocaine

I saw Jerry play at 6 flags over mid america theme park near St. LOUIS IN 1971. He played on a red 335 gibson. Fantastic musician and entertainer.

Not sure how many realize Jerry's impact on modern guitar players. Brent Mason, the top session giy in Nashville, is a hige Jerry Reed fan an often tells of how much Jerry's playing influenced his own. Jerry Reed was a hero, singer, songwriter, actor, player. Jerry could do it all! RIP, Jerry Reed Hubbard.

Jerry would adress another guitarist as Son. Just good hearted ego ribbing, but the boy could really tear it up!

And why is this called "What REALLY Happened..."??? Like there was something the public didn't know about Jerry! Too much nonsense. Not coming back here. Waste of time....
