Lifts @ Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth

These are the lifts at the central square in the Gunwharf Quays Designer Outlet.
The first Kone lift is in very bad condition, the door locks badly needs oiling and I think the break needs maintenance as well considering the lift tried to start on me without releasing the break first which caused the lift to display out of service. Yeah that lift needs maintenance badly lol. The Otis 2000s are interesting, what interests me the most is the fact they even did cab refurbs but kept the original controllers. The car park Kone was probably the least interesting out of all of them for me, the only thing that is somewhat interesting is the advanced door opening. Enjoy!

Very nice video! That first Kone lift is really nice and sounds exactly like the monogoods at the new Doncaster museum. The clunk sounds amazing, and the knackered doors make it really characterful! I like the fixtures and massive indicator in it as well! The KSS140 redesign is something I'm not really a fan of and the lift has no clunk which is disappointing but it's still nice I guess. The Otis 2000's with the slight mods are really nice, and I like how the new stuff interfaces with the old stuff.

Thanks. I do like that first Kone as well. Yeah I don't like the redesign of the KSS140 either, that black ring around the button looks hideous imo. at least it has ADO I do like the slap on mods too, always interesting to see new components used on an original controller.

New intro! Very nice! I love these fixtures, very nice indicator! - especially the big information screen! Disappointing that it's already a little knackered. Interesting to see that none of the KONE lifts have the same fixtures. LB and UB instead of LM and UM?

Thanks! I do love the information screens, they look very nice, shame the ones on the slap on modded Otis's were broken or switched off. Idk why the Kones don't use the same fixtures either. They're called B because they go down to the car parks which are the basement levels
