I had another doubt sir, 😅 This not related to this topic though, it is related to the property of real and app apparent depth... When a glass slab is placed over a piece of paper, on which something is written, the letters appear elevated , so if we place a paper on which we have some letters written in different colours, do the letters appear to be elevated at different height or are they elevated at the same level? Thanks a lot sir for replying to my earlier doubts on Machines and Work chapter. 😄
@rohanzaveri52444 жыл бұрын
No every letter will appear to be on the same height. Because, glass slab doesn't disperse the light, prism does.

In case of triangular prism incident ray are not parllell to emergent ray when we draw normal both will intersect each other. As in the case of rectangular slab incident ray is parllell to emergent ray when we draw normals to it we will see both will parllell

Doubt : A real object is located at the zero end of the metre stick. A concave mirror located at 100cm end of the metre stick forms the image of the object 70cm position. A convex mirror placed at 60cm position forms the final image at 10cm point. What is the radius of curvature of the convex mirror.

Sir my name is Sanjay Pradnesh ♦ In rectangular glass slab, the emergent ray is parallel to the incident ray because the opposite side of the rectangular slab is parallel. ♦ in a prism the opposite side is no parallel due to this emergent ray is not parallel to incident ray and also incident ray diverges toward prism base.
