Virtual Photons, and 4D wave tension/field-tensors can/do exhibit backward causality, but no virtual particles with enough energy to become actual photons or any actual energy/mass "backward" in time (except just before when we're soon to cross an event horizon, when it appears as Hawking/Unruh Radiation that heralds the Horizon crossing).

Light doesn't actually slow down traveling through certain mediums. What really happens is that the photons are constantly being absorbed and emitted within that medium, but they still travel at the same speed. A better way to think about it is they have to take a longer zigzaging path. As for gravity, there is no evidence whatsoever that it has any influence over the speed of light. It does in the sense that speed is defined by distance and time, both of which are affected by gravity. But accounting for that, light speed appears to remain constant. And then lastly, light doesn't really even have a perspective. Photons do not experience time. They are created, travel potentially billions of light years, and are destroyed all within the same infinitesimally small moment of time.

I don't understand why every one who discusses the time reversal travel etc... forget to take account of second law of thermodynamics in to account. Do you guys forget that there are irreversibilities in the universe?

I Can explain this with real science, the faster you move the slower time moves for you, so if you slow down, time moves faster, so if you slow light down how would you move backwards in time? You are breaking the laws of the universe with 0 explanation or proof, if time moving infinitely is represented as 1 and the speed of light which is the lack of experience of time is 0 then if you speed up light past the speed of light which is 0 time experienced then you would fall into the negatives, negative time experienced or moving backwards in time, FROM SPEEDING UP, SPEEDING UP EQUALS LESS TIME, so if you SLOW DOWN, something it experiences MORE TIME, so if you were to slow down light all the way to 0 it would experience time passing as 1, because 0 is the slowest representation of speed which would equal the fastest moving of time which is infinite time experienced, meaning it is completely stopping in time and moving into the future, this is based on the actual science of the universe, in this video not one single time was a law of physics explained or any proof or study given on how slowing down light would make it move backward in time the exact opposite has been proven and there was a study which a female Harvard professor did slow light down to 0 which proves I am correct
