Thank you so much. It's not obvious that you have to place those points for scattering WITHIN the node itself. I didn't even tried to dive into the node and tried to work like I do in SOP, attach geo to different inputs, and play with parameters...

I might be a bit late... but what if I want to instance millions of lights... would this even be possible?

You'd probably need a quantum computer to render it. So probably not millions but I have done around 400 light instances before which wasn't too bad. That was in Redshift though, not sure how well Karma would handle it.

@@illuminations-vfx oh boy, I tried to instance about 30k lights.. and the render speed tanked… guess it wasn’t a good idea🤪

@@HangYuriYangFX What you should do is turn the point cloud into a mesh with Particle Surface Fluid or VDB From Particles and use that as a mesh light
