Light Knights - Strat Chat | War Selection - A Support Strategy with focus on an early rush

With the help of this video I've learned how to get 15 fully upgraded light knights in about 14:30 minutes, I use it alot since I recently bought Russia

@@cafebars3355 But more and more players counter it now by going western europe with medieval towers or eastern asia with horse archers into china which is a heavy counter to light knights.

I concur on the notion that it seems to be a meta-build as there are quite a lot of people rushing LK's. It has affected early game as well because now people have horsemen that they will sent to help a rushed teammate. I'd usually rush with spearmen early on but I've been stopped at the base of the nearest enemy by horsemen from 2 or 3 other people, which sometimes delays the LK rush because they either lose too much or are occupied with defending their ally. A good defense is a good offense. If you have a competent ally, he could sneak brave-men or something into the Lich King's dark citadel and destroy the Ring of Power where it was created.

Gandalf, is this You? Just kidding lol, but yeah offense is indeed a really good defense. And especially Spearmen perform very well against Horsemen which are really just good against workers or small groups of enemy soldiers. At the end of the day if you just build 30 archers you have a chance to defend yourself with some decent tower and wall placement but a smart Light Knight player will simply run past you to the next player until he finds a new player who is not prepared.

@@xohebfazal6505 With France -> Western Europe and China -> Eastern Asia. I bet East Asian Horse Archers will be seen more again. Western Europe, they are typically played through constructing Towers and Trebuchets combined with Longbowmen, rarely larger armies of Cavalry or Infantry to be seen.

For people who want a counter, I suggest you try western Asia horse archers they might seem weak but I've managed to defend 20 light horses with around 17 Asian horse archers

Very good suggestion! Theoretically also 30 iron age archers take up the same space and should be able to deal with them if supported with towers

@@SolomonRaz yes!, also before going into bronze age when you choose between Asia and Europe there you can see two other "Factions" to choose from that's very interesting I'm hoping those will come out soon, although I think there need to be more countries released for it

@@childrenofthesun471 I hope when they come they will come with one or two countries available already. From all we know those might come as paid DLCs, because the Devs need to make a bit of money of course. They will come after the game is released with at least 8 countries. Not before.

I might agree with You on that. I haven´t found a good strategy to counter them THAT early. Western Europe would have the towers to defend, but upgrading 4 medieval european towers by 15 minutes... I´ll have to try that out. Later into the game, archers and crossbows of course, but how do you get them out that quickly? All Bronze Age Archers are too weak except for heavy archers of asia maybe.

Also any archer spam, Heavy Archers alone won´t do it because they take too long to make in larger quantities by this time. But of course just archers will help already.

Hi! I just started playing war selection. What country would you recommend I pick for my first spend of techpoints?

My number one recommendation for new players is Turkey. It´s quite easy, has a good economy, strong defensive potential and when France comes out Turkey will do quite well against the new tanks.

@@tsdecimo2782 Turkey has Light Cannons and Mortars. Mortars have a huge range of 500 and Light Cannons up to 350, they can both deal well with Tanks. The Snipers of Turkey are very strong to defend against infantry and Air Units. France is about to be released and they have 3 new tanks, 3 new planes and an aircraft-carrier vessel. So everything that turkey has will counter pretty much everything that france will get. Watch my video about turkey, although some stats like for the mortars have been slightly nerfed, they are still great overall and the video gives you a nice impression. It´s called: Turkey stat chat

Someone used this against me, i defended it with towers and lost my economy, but then i built wall and recovered quickly, accidentally went on east instead of west(i wanted trebuchets in case he bringed catapults) and i fucked his srmy with penarchs xD, even IR red devils
