Hi Alan, Im a contractor living out of a suit-case. Motor homes appeal to my minimalism. But I like comfort and I dont like to be cold. I could (I think) make a big saving on Hotel bills moving around GB. Cant afford a new one, and the dated look is fine by me. Just one bed (drop down ?) Separate chow and lounge. Thats the challenge Alan. But if you could just give me a few pointers its a couple of beers when I see you lol. Might make a good prog?. Thanks Alan. Jeff

Jeff, the problem is availability so I can't help too much. You need to look at what you can find close to you! However get a motorhome and not a campervan. Keeping a campervan warm is really difficult. Obviously it is hard to compare but keeping a van warm is cheaper than keeping a house warm and if you get a refillable solution you can buy gas at a petrol station! That is about it I am afraid!

@@VanlifewithAlan Thanks Alan, Yes small-ish motor-home. I do not mind all that big flower print fabric and stuff as long as The Motor is solid build. I wont hold you to it but can you just give me 3 models to start looking at. As Im a total newbie in the wilderness. £25-35,000. Thanks

@@jeffsmith50001 Jeff, see if you can find a Hymer model. For that money, you should be able to get something around 10 - 15 years old, six to seven metres in length and the insulation will be reasonably good. I think that would be the best bet.

@@VanlifewithAlan Thanks very much. I will be tapping in HYMER. 10 to 15. It might seem Johnny Obvious to seasoned campers. But to the likes of me and others just putting a toe in its an invaluable starting point. Thanks again Alan. Its gonna be a long night.

Very good video, lots of nice to see, nice cars. Tasteful decor, lighting and lots of storage space, I like these cars. The only thing is that they bring nothing new to the market, very similar to the solution inside and outside that other manufacturers have. Big plus that they are based on Mercedes, and to me it seems like this is quality. Cars that really do the job.

I think you are wrong. Hymer brings in this models the new SLC chassis designed by themselves. Hymer is the only one european motorhome manufacturer able to develop its own high tech chassis, plus the Pual 2.0 structure construction. I still think they are one step ahead from other manufacturers including Carthago. If you are looking for a luxury motorhome, but also quite and no-noise experience when driving, hymer brings that. An add tech installed options like rain and light sensors on integral models, distronic, etc., not offered by other manufacturers on integral models, like full led driving lights

@@marcotrotamundos What you are writing is certainly true, I do not have much to do with these technical aspects of the cars. What I mean is that it is the same solution as other manufacturers on the interior, I like cars that think new or different when it comes to solutions. Hymer has a prototype Hymer visionventure, a car with brand new solutions, fantastic car, hope it comes on the market. I even have a car I bought last year, the Bustner 680G, it is different inside compared to a lot of cars on the market.

Roy Eirik Andreassen. I agree with you. Interiors are all the same

I do think they would look better if the floors and upholstery were a bit darker and the trims were lighter. Nice vans though.

Generally a very classy van - those pull out steps would work better if the base step was forward from the upper step rather than the same - not so user friendly. I would prefer more lockers rather than those open shelves.

Over 123 thousand pounds and each bed can only hold up to 80kg? Well...
