So nice, this reminds me of Ubiquity and Blackbyrds. Memories of chilling in London in the early 90s, and watching Roy Ayers, The Brecker Brothers, Courtney Pine, Bheki Mseleku and Al Jarreau in Alexandra Park.

Its a London thang! LOTW paying homage to the city of their birth London town, this excellent track really symbolises what the Brit Funk era was all about, from the opening vibes led intro, then the horns, breezy melody with the vocals taking you through Regents Park & Trafalgar Sq, by now your hooked cos i am!

This was more "Robbie Vincent" than "Greg Edwards." Robbie was more Jazz Funk and Jazz Fusion. Greg went for the disco-soul floorfillers. Robbie was mid-Saturday groove. Greg got you ready to go out on Saturday evenings!

Not just Brit Funk, anywhere on the planet this number sounds as though it was recorded yesterday not forty years ago. The problem with that argument is they don't do the good stuff like this today.

This was very popular at the Soul Weekenders I remember, certainly Caister. So good to hear this again I can't believe it is over 30 years old now! I used to play this when DJ-ing in the early 80s. Had my white label promo copy stolen at 'Henrys' in Burnham Beeches! Replaced the next day with a copy from Groove Records in Soho.
