Light Visions Tarot and PrismaVisions Side by Side, Flip Through and my first look!

I have the Prisma Visions (1st Ed) and the Light Visions Tarot (2nd Ed) side by side. It's my first look, in hand, of the Light Visions Tarot by James R Eads and I LOVE IT...the gold edges are the BEST that I've ever experienced, mirrors of gold!! Quality-100% Thank you for watching :)

Thank you Simon!! I wish my brain would come up with the terms like you said, "redrawn"... because Yes, some of them are!! but they are oh so similar for the most. I love how some of the image elements are more pronounced in the Light version! I feel that JR Eads' uses the light and dark so brilliantly in this deck! The foundation of the Prisma is here but it's a completely different deck in that I feel so different when I look at the decks separately...and it's all good (for me). The gold edges...did I mention that, lol...it is incredible on this deck! The cards handle so nice, smooth, not sticky, and I don't get the glare as some decks with a similar feel seem to produce. Top quality for sure!! Thank you, again, for watching :)

Thank you so much, I loved this walk through and the cards. I have ordered the coloured set, but I also like the other version very much. Sometimes the people and pictures even stand out better with 2 colours. You never bored me once, at the contrary, I felt the same way you did with the golden edges and being curious about this comparison!

Oh wow. I have the 2nd ed. of the Prisma Visions, and when I saw that he was re-releasing the b&w version (or whatever you want to call it), I thought it wouldn't look good, because the colors are so beautiful. But I have to say that I don't mind the two-color version. It has a really nice quality. I'm in love with this artist's work. He's so talented and unique.

Tom Benjamin I can say with much certainty that you would really like this one! I think when the first ed of this Light Visions came out (2?)years ago I passed it by because of that too! I’d never seen any videos of it (1st Ed) I looked it up and discovered when the preorders would commence...and so it goes 🤗 it’s worth it! Thanks Tom for your views & for watching!

Tom Benjamin ps-I agree to the inth degree about the artist! James R Eads is quiet brilliant!! Unique!! That’s why I never understood the original Prisma being sort of overlooked. But I think back then that Mary El was on the horizon and “Shadow Work” was really exploding. These decks are great for shadow insights too! (My humble opinion) 😊

Wow! Stumbled on your channel searching to see if anyone had received theirs yet... I love Prisma Visions and have been working with it this month, and pre-ordered my Light Visions just like you as soon as the ordering opened (its scheduled to arrive Friday!). I've not watched your full video... I wasn't expecting cards to be so different in some cases, so I've paused for now, and only watched the majors, to retain the possibility of surprise :)

aquamarine18 Oh I’m so glad you found this show & tell! I’ve never ever found any videos of the Light Visions even though this is the 2nd Ed! This deck is brilliant! Its VERY familiar but not totally exactly like Prisma. As Simon, from Two_Spirits channel said, it has been redrawn by the creator, James R Eads. It is not radically different by any means but just enough so it’s fresh & gorgeous. So glad yours is on the way! Yay! Thank you very much for watching and commenting! Some cards from the Light Visions I like more than the Prisma Visions, like the the Star, Temperance or the Empress. But overall, I still prefer the PV because the colors add so much to the ambiance of the cards, esp in the Hermit card. Which deck do you like more? And thank you so much for the comparison, I really needed this :)

konny Yes! I’m having the same experience! Sometimes the Light Visions really strikes me like WOW! because I see something in a new way, (a new light, lol) but then I start to miss the color-the way it all connects, but I can’t pick one over the other because the Light Visions is still so new to me. Mystyk Dawn I know, right?! 😜 I’ve shuffled my gold one quite a bit this month...I’m working with the Light Visions for feb. my silver one still looks new and I’ve had it for years, since it first came out. They’re so refined looking but sturdy. My edges are still perfect (I riffle shuffle mostly) but I still ‘think’ about it when do it. So far still ok. 😃

They look amazing together, would be cool to work with both of them together in one reading, eg. one deck shadow other light, or within/without. And I love, that it's not just a change of colours, but completely redrawn pictures. Hopefully one day, I'll get them. Thanks for showing them side by side. :)

Heavenly Light A good question! The books have the same text for each card, that is to say, yes, they are the same for both decks in the books. But, for me, the intuitive interpretation carries the differences between each deck based on the situation of the person being read for and the questions being asked during that reading, no matter which deck you’re using. So the decks each have their own ‘tone’ /attitude/voice. Just as if you used 2 Waite-Smith decks that looked very similar, they could both read very differently, with different tones, if that makes sense (?) For me, they each have a different and unique energy. Both read very deeply for me and they read differently...the book is just a guide and I don’t really “use” the book to draw or interpret my ‘meanings’. The images go much deeper (to me) than the small brief in the companion books. 😊 Thank you 🙏🏼 so much for watching and for asking that good question 💜

Thanks for this :) Would you be able to confirm for me, if the Light Vision has a slightly high sheen finish on this second edition? I have the first edition and the cards are matte and I love that :) The Prisma Vision (first ed) exploded during Kickstarter and was fully funded and then just went on over the target over a very short period of time! :D I am now looking for the second edition :P

I wish I had gotten the 1st ed Light Visions...the matte finish sounds so nice! What is the mystery card in the 1st Edition LV? Becoming Temperance Mine (first edition, authentic James R Eads produced) is still like new. I riffle shuffle as well as overhand shuffle and haven’t had any issues at all. The gilded edges are still mirror shiny and intact. I know his decks are counterfeited (sold on Amazon) a lot and that’s why I try to alert people to buy authentic decks from his jamesreads.com site to assure it’s not a cheap counterfeit. I can’t truly speak to the 3rd edition since I don’t own that one. So far, none of the decks (and I own copies of every deck he’s created to date) are showing wear or having issues. I’d say that buying his decks from anyplace other than his Kickstarter projects or his own site could be at risk of being a counterfeit and I hope this isn’t the case for you. I’m sorry to hear your having issues since it’s a high quality beautiful deck. Good luck...maybe there’s videos about the 3rd edition? You could also contact him through his website too. Disappointed in this review because it doesn't address what I'd like to know. How is it to read with each deck? What does each deck bring to a reading that is unique? Did you find onr easier to read with than the other, and why? I get it that you like the artwork, but oohs and ahhs I can supply for myself.
