I might try this rack for my 67 C10, I've been wanting to run a manual rack but if i end up going power rack, I'll probably just yank one from a crown vic and fab it in.

The 12 degree temps don't bother me, it's the 897,632.357 MPH winds that kill me!!

Did you use the umi sway bar?

On my 2nd gen I put in the same kit. I had to cut it back out and move it much closer to the crossmember. It needed to be in a straight line from tie rod to tie rod.

This should have a center takeoff rack in it with the tierod ends much closer together and tighter to the crossmember. I would like to find a steering rack that actually fits for a low buck type of build.

Did you have any header clearance issues? I also have a 2nd gen s10 and thinking about doing this.
@pauldell75403 жыл бұрын
Im running hooker mid length headers and custom motor mounts. But i have plenty of header clearance and i didn't have to cut in to the frame like the directions say.

Have been toying w/ this idea for a few years, but never willing to pull the trigger due to one thing or another. Your vid takes the fear factor out of the equation. Thanks

S10 look at the ackerman because the tire will ship when turninglook at bump steer and ackerman take a paint can find center of rear axle run a line from ball joint follow center of rear and then follow to ball joint follow to tie end schould be straight from center of rear end to ball joint keep going and the line when it intersect from rear end to ball joint and point where tie end goes that's ackerman angle so when you turn the wheels don't skip

Heel below 20 F is uncomfortable anywhere you live. I made the mistake one time of neglecting my equipment. Later that winter -30F starter took a dump yeah no fun. Oh God please tell me your Colum will collapse
