I agree. He also consistently has fantastic content; always good enough to rival (and more often than not win) the content some of the big creepypasta names put out. Seriously, though, the number of subscribers he has has more than doubled since I first started watching his videos, and it feels like it's only been a few months. I'm sure I discovered him last fall, at the earliest. He's impressive, no doubt!

@@anthonyarcanumsanctumregnu9551 I am a big believer in sharing content on social media; mostly FB. I've shared a couple of Lighthouse Horror's videos and a lot of The Dark Somnium's after I discovered him. I also push the good ones onto my family and friends who listen to creepypasta. At first some are reluctant to add "another one to keep up with" (grumbled my 17yo daughter once, lol), but after listening they're grateful.

I don't get that either. Witnesses saw the girl walk into traffic. But he was there when the kid decided to take a leap of death out of the window. Even though the guard saw the whoever he was take the officers gun and pull the trigger, OP still gets into trouble. Maybe the figure he "bewitched" them somehow to make them commit suicide, because he was present for all three suicides. And he was the ONLY one present for all three. I guess he put a "spell" on them. 🙄I guess thgis means he got an "F" on his research paper. All that work for nothing.

When you know for an absolute fact it results in your immediate suicide you'd still read the book?
@ermacjones48212 жыл бұрын
Well, all logic points to you inevitably dying if you read it. Maybe I'm just crazy, but that's enough to make any curiosity I have vanish entirely. It's the same reason I don't say bloody Mary in front of a mirror 3 times. Not that I believe in that nonsense, there's just no upside to it, and no logical reason to do so.
@ermacjones48212 жыл бұрын
If it was something like there was a cure for all types of cancer in the notebook, but there was a 50% chance of dying after reading it, then yeah, it would make sense why people would want to take the chance, because there's actually a potential upside there.

The trick to controlling that kind of curiosity (I've found at least) is controlling what you're curious about. Not wondering what it says in the book but instead something like "if I went to a dump and the book followed me there, would the paper get rid of all of the flies for me"?

Notebook, book, books collectively used 56 times. Also two things that bothered me the MC originally said the girl dropped the book on the floor, but then he said they would have to find it amongst dozens of other tables and it was very inconspicuous... I thought it was on the ground which wouldn't be all the inconspicuous. I'm just kind of nit picking with this second one. Although it's kind of a broad assumption and overstatement saying "there are no surveillance cameras in libraries" (libraries were I live do contain them) instead of just saying 'the library didn't have any surveillance cameras' therefore that particular library did not have any. So basically a reverse "Death note" interesting concept I suppose. Not sure why you'd even be tempted to read it after seeing 3 (It didn't clarify if he saw the orderlies kill themselves if he did than 5) people commit suicide almost immediately after reading it. All in all a decent story. As always the narration was superb and what ultimately kept me listening. Thanks Lighthouse!

Great story! The author truly made me stop to think 🤔 and as I listened intently to the story, my religious side stepped up, and I heard the keyword "temptation!" What is his name? One of his names is "the Tempter," and I thought about how he even tempted God's only beloved Son. Therefore, he is capable of tempting anybody! I believe that the "book" intention is to tempt and lure in anyone who is possibly "troubled and weak in the flesh" It is the book mission to feed off their vulnerability, like the protagonist, it fed off his curiosity and his will to 'end his life' altogether since why not? Nobody believes him, and he is now viewed as a Murderer and/or Crazy 🤪 😜! The book is personally influencing him and others to simply "end it" because no one cares bout them, period! Great narration also, you always know how to put me "in the moment," and that is phenomenal!

Okay.... now I want to know what’s in the book even if it means I die reading it. Does the book COMPEL people to open it and read it as soon as they pick it up, especially if they ONLY reason they picked it up was to put it away like the victim tried to do afrer finding it on the floor? Plus the storyteller is in a psychiatric hospital/prison for 2 and a half years for THREE murders?! What the heck? The first two okay, but why is he getting the psychiatric doctors Death dumped on him too? Sure he was covered in the guys blood and guts, after the man shot HIMSELF, but cop who was the OWNER of the gun even VOUCHED for him that he WASNT the one who killed the psychiatrist, since the cop SAW who grabbed the gun just before both the cop and the speaker covered in the psychiatrists guts. Plus unlike at the library, didn’t the room the interveiw with the psychiatrist was taking place in have video surveillance cameras with AUDIO recording everything in the room, that taped EVERYTHING that happened in the room right up to the psychiatrist finding the notebook, flipping it open and reading it while the speaker SAT and WATCHED, before the psychiatrist got up, walked over to the guard, grabbed the gun and shot himself in full view of the rooms cameras? Even cameras outside the room that were facing the door should have caught what the DOCTOR did to himself.
