@@benjohnsoncreative With so much lighting you can maximise the crap out of the ISO settings which will get you the best results. You're right, the amount of effort that goes into this means that you can get really good video settings. I guess the follow up to this would be to show people how to either use a USB microphone (or 3.5mm to XLR) and plug it into their phone to save on having to use a "clap board." Even if it means getting "rough out" audio that's way easier to sync with an audio interface than doing the alternative which is syncing (without time coding).

Thank you for this video. I use only smartphones to shoot my videos for my channel and use only one generic softbox light. I adjust my ISO to 200 from my usual 400 and it worked great. I got the mood that I always wanted.

@@davidcornelio8008 There are tons of USB Mics. just get one of them and connect to your smartphone. Make sure you choose an external mic for your smartphone. You should be good to go!

I agree to an extent. I think there’s always going to be a place for “pro” level equipment over consumer. But I do agree that for KZbin and for most people, an iPhone is more than capable to get their message across! In my opinion there is still a huge place for cameras with content creators, as it is a tool designed for the job at hand. But I love that phones are getting better and better! Thanks for watching!

It’s like the difference between analog x digital stuff, it’s a choice only, but now it seems that the gap of quality between cameras and iPhones (for average consumer) is becoming smaller every year, you should try reviewing some iOS stuffs like editing in Lumafusion and so on, thanks for the reply!

I’m not familiar with those particular lamps but usually that happens because the light is not “flicker free” and for video it can create scan lines and other issues

How would one make the background blur using this app? The focus mode seems to not help here? Could you please provide guidance on how to make the background blurry using the Moment app?

You have to shoot with your zoom lens, and get as close to it as you can with as much background distance behind you as you can. it causes compression which will help the background look blurry. It’s not going to be the same as an actual lens with a faster aperture but it’ll be the most you can get

I set white balance to 5600k because my key light (the light lighting me) is also 5600k. 5600k is the color of day light and will tend to make rgb lights (like the blue behind me) look more natural

@@silviapegoraro5716 if you want warmer skin color, set your camera settings to 5600k and then adjust the color temp of your light until you like the look Its not balancing the skin tone, it’s balancing the white in the image, so everything will change as well. If you overdue it, it’ll be too orange
