When going through all the weapons during the beta test, one of the things that surprised me was just how fun Hammer was. It's in my top five which surprised me

Hammer was my most used weapon in the Beta. It just felt good. Smooth and intuitive. HH was my second, loved the upgrades. Looks like I'll be honking and bonking my way across the Forbidden Lands!

It's crazy that the Hammer's new Mighty Charge Slam attack has higher damage values than a GS's TCS in Wilds.

Imo that's what they have done wrong between g.s and hammer in all these hunter games I've played. I've always felt g.s should be specifically good at doing most dmg on tail . Vice versa for hammer. The hammer should be king. There is accepting criteria that isn't ever considered up until this game which is silly but even if hammer had a higher dmg multipler on the hunter notes for the head typically the greatsword would always be the bigger hitter. Good q.o.l change

Mmm bonk, the offset rules. You get your opening, either triangle combo into offset or if you have more time 4 hit combo

mighty charge to mighty charge slam has some weird animations, somethings off like the physics don't make sense driver swinging one way then all of a sudden they change directions ignoring momentum

Looking at at the hunt. Is there a reason to use big bang finisher any more? It takes a long time and it doesnt do the most amount of damage anymore.

MHRise was my first game.. started the game with SnS which in my opinion is the best class of weapon since it can do everything... Then quickly I realised that my true calling is Bonk! Booking the head of a 100 ft dragon is quite satisfying for my Neanderthal brain. Return to Monke Monkeys together strong

in mhw it was like the hub world had a team and the menu had a team, i miss picking up scales and tails and the health stam bars look like we went backwoods and i miss having a hub world and feels like maybe we can skip monsters and hunt higher tier monsters straight away and no gate keeping and stuff

Personally I liked the balance of MHW hammer, air hammer was viable, so many more moves that allowed for more nuanced gameplay, I feel like a lot has been lost as a hammer main. Might be time to move on sadly. Just doesn't sit well with me that my gameplay will boil down to two moves similar to rise forced t3 charge spam.

Honestly didn't like hammer is wilds feels like the worst version yet Lv3 charge is redundant, mighty does way to much damage over every other move, air hammer style is some how worse then rise version now lastly Big Bang has giving a Bigger to be avoided Overall it had two new things added but everything else got nerfed into the ground can only pray they balance damage of all moves so that mighty doesn't become default all the time
