Awwwww, I didn't know Twink painted! Also, nice review, Lightning. I also felt that this episode was extremely forgettable, even if I enjoyed the song slightly more than you (then again, I'm a sucker for anytime the CMC get to sing, so bias), and personally, I just didn't enjoy the episode's inability to pick a plot and stick with it. There were plenty of moments in the show that could have served as individual episodes, like the CMC moving on from doing random cutie Mark earning quests, or helping Bulk Biceps, doing their own individual thing, or heck, maybe even Tender Taps. But NOPE! We get an awkward jumbled mess with little to no staying power. Yet if I can say one good thing about it, the episode serves as an interesting delve into Apple Bloom`s psyche by showing us just how much of her time is devoted to her friends

This episode hit home a lot for me, at least the first half. AppleBloom is still in that phase of her life where things are boring without her friends and I not only relate to her in what she goes through in the first half. Wether or not you like this episode or not depends on if you've ever grown apart from friends and how much it affected you. I probably won't have the same feeling towards this episode in a few years, when I have fully moved on from what happened to me, but the episode was released at perfect time for my emotional attachment to it.

bliss some people thrive on being with other and dont like being alone and being alone can put them in a depression and the song makes it relateable and as shone in bloom and gloom one of her fears is losing her friends because they mean so much to her as when she was alone she was bullyed and she lost her parents so she felt even more alone than other people so she has bad memories asociated with that because it reminds her of when she was bullied and when she lost her parents and she dose every thing with others so those bad memories come up and she also is afraid she will lose them like her parents so thats why they made this so people like that dont feel so alone its not about the entertainment as much as it is the message i hope you conside what i said when you watch stuff like this in the future

Would it really be better to stretch Bulk's issue into a full length episode? It doesn't seem like a good idea. It's not like The Fault in our Cutie Marks and trying to give a griffon a cutie mark. It's better as a way to show off their newly discovered talent and how it affects their every day lives.

I thought the episode was pretty interesting how they were helping people, but what i thought was silly about it was how they split up over nothing. But it all worked out lol. but as the Twink said, review it or else lol:3 Also i loved how they were to achieve without eachothers help!

The only thing that saved this episode for me was the song. Not because it had a nice tune or nice lyrics but, sadly, that it was relatable. Let me tell you a story. Right now, I am 12, and so still in primary school. Now, I have been with the same 16 people since 7 years ago, give or take a few. Jump back a few years and you have me and my 4 friends. 2 of them now go to a different school, and the other two haven't talked to me in school for a couple of years. Now, it definetely wasn't as quick as in the episode, but I can relate to Apple Bloom. It wasn't all bad, as I took up drawing because of being alone at the break time, but mostly that was for the worst. Now, when I was 10 or 11, one of the friends moved school. I was literally broken. Any time I think about it, I cry. Heck, I'm crying right now. This is the one thing that I am looking foreward to Secondary school, because maybe I might not be alone.oh shit that got sad

I will agree that the overall episode is forgettable but I do also think that this was something they needed to address at some point Apple Bloom has been searching for a cutie mark longer than the other two sure it's only 51 episode and at the end of said episode she meets the two but I wondered if they were going to have some sort dilemma with the fact that they had spent so long looking for there cutie mark that they couldn't think what to do afterwards

Eh, I'm split about this episode to be honest. I don't know, this season's been lukewarm to me. There have been great episodes (Saddle Row Review, Gift of the Maud Pie, and Stranger Than Fan Fiction) but there are also a few stinkers (No Second Prances, Applejack's "Day" Off, and The Cart Before the Ponies) so don't feel bad for what ya don't like. To those who don't agree.... that sounds like a personal problem :P

You are a very independent pony, Ms. Bliss, but please remember a lot of people are just codependent by nature. It's the same sort of issue an extrovert might take with a story about an introvert... it's unrelatable to them, and they usually decide that it's flat out wrong to be the way that might make you most happy. Similarly, Apple Bloom, and many ponies in real life, have a tendency to work with others rather then on their own; working individually can sometimes leave these people lost or confused, as Apple was here. Don't conclude that's inherently wrong simply because you aren't like that yourself. I agree this issue had a lot of flaws, but it had a great moral and was far from one of the worst. It's mainly due to issues prevalent across the entire season that seeped into an otherwise good episode, least where I'm concerned.

You make very valid points, but I also acknowledge this as your opinion and respect it. I on the other hand respectfully disagree and made my points in the vid of why "I don't like it". This isn't my favorite episode so far of Season 6, but hate is a strong word too. Like I said in the vid, I found it lacking in pace and entertainment and at times it felt confused on where it was going with the plot and as a result I lost interest pretty quickly. But again, that's me, and you are you. We all have our differences. ^^

I enjoyed the episode, because Apple Bloom had tied so much into her friendships with Sweetie Belle and Scoot and the group as a whole, she has not really forged her own identity outside of it. Something Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo did.

I think the reason why Apple Bloom was having trouble on her own might be due to her family ties. Think about it: she comes from a pretty big family even if it's not immediate family, so she likes group activities a lot more than trying things by herself. Scoots and Sweetie don't have this problem since we can assume that Scoots is an only child and Sweetie's pretty outgoing and curious. Twink's an artist? How cute is that! Daaawww...

What an interesting angle! I've never heard anyone who really disliked this episode before, so it was nice to see another opinion be brought to the table. The review had a lot to say in a short amount of time, which is something that I very much enjoy, especially since with the rising trend (in and out of the Rift Cafe) of reviewers focusing more on in-jokes and skits rather than actual reviews. I only have one complaint, however, and it's the delivery. I've noticed this in a few of your other videos, but it is most prominent here. You have a tendency to gliss over words, and slur multiple syllables together, thus making it harder to understand what you are saying. Again, this is the first time in all of your videos that it has been so noticeable that it is distracting. It appears that you are not aware of this, so I thought I'd let you know so as to not worsen the problem. Anywho, great and insightful review, and I'm always excited to see more content from my favorite rainbow alicorn! Cheers!

Am I the only one who actually relates to Apple Bloom here? Lord knows how many times I get down when I feel left out or forgotten, almost on a bi-weekly bases. But I place that to my own fault mostly, but there have been those rare few times when I've felt a bit bitter towards others. While this episode isn't the best for me, I still enjoy it for the most part, mostly because I couldn't figure out what was going to happen next. In my opinion, it could have been much worse and personally I am glad the Bulk Biceps thing didn't extend through the episode since the solution was pretty simple. This was a decent review Blissy. Honestly though I don't think you should review something if you're going to be portraying yourself as a nag though because while I am fine with you being critical, it felt like you were complaining too much and by the time you got to the pros I wasn't as invested in it. Sorry Blissy. This type of review I felt would have been better to have someone to bounce off of. But that's my personal preference though, I intend to enjoy negative reviews more that make me laugh. You had a strong beginning and ending though lol.

Man Twink has no problem kicking you in the plot if you put off an episode. I personally liked this episode when it first aired but the more I see it since my review, the more I end up not liking it as much (Especially as a follow up to the masterpiece that was COTLM), Maybe it will end up on my worst of list... Then again it doesn't have a lot of competition as I disliked only 2 episodes this season, and even then they we're just the weak side of meh.

Honestly, I'd say the same for The Cart Before The Ponies myself. Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I realize it's in my Top 10 Worst episodes of the series now. It doesn't crack the Top 5 since an episode *really* has to go out of its way to make it feel like it's Top 5 worst (such as what Trade Ya! or the Dragon Quest did, just to give a hint to what I mean there), but boy is it rather unenjoyable all the same.

E1ite Yoshi Besides it feeling like a conflict that felt four or five seasons too late to make it feel all that meaningful and it holding a rather predictable plot, the episode was not only something that easily could have been solved by switching the Cutie Mark Crusaders into the carts they want, but also their older sisters (or sister figure in the case of Rainbow Dash) really were too selfish for what was supposed to be a fun little event for the Cutie Mark Crusaders. In short, it wasn't a fun episode to watch, and for an episode that could have been solved in more ways than one, it really didn't choose the most practical way of doing it.
