I'm 2 and a half minutes in and I'm wondering when this jam session is gonna turn in to a fucking song. Fast forward to minute 5. Still waiting. Oh wait, something happened at 2:30. They changed it up a little, good job guys. Jam bands are fun.
@cn15067 жыл бұрын
Their tracks are long and repetitive but they certainly aren't jamming. I knew every note of this song and even the drums are performed almost note for note for this type of music. I mean, jam band isn't an insult in my opinion, especially for a band like LB, their shows are so eclectic and have such a positive energy that jam band is probably a good way to think about it but they are definitely performing a perfectly structured show every night. Next level shit. Listen to "Dracula Mountain" if you want the closest to a pop hit these guys will manage. It's a heater for sure. I've been all around all types of music, but mostly heavy music, and the two wildest and most fun shows I've seen were both lightning bolt. also if you really think this whole song sounds the same, you're really listening to the wrong music or something. This song has quite a few distinctive parts.
@realnagger67184 жыл бұрын
They used to say the same about Jazz. It's not about Intro-verse-chorus-bridge-etc or chord progression, its about feeling, expression, art(?). You feel it or you dont. Pop music is much more accessible, try it, you'll love it!

Totally depressing , hopeless, disturbing, chaotic , black, horrifying, devoid of God, devoid of positivity, devoid of greatfullness. Am I wrong? Is that what they're going 4?
@mynameiscian8D5 жыл бұрын
I think you are wrong, yes. I don't see how it's disturbing, hopeless, depressing, devoid of positivity, or horrifying, and I don't really understand why you're mentioning God or greatfullness at all? Most music doesn't really mention God or have anything to do with greatfullness, as far as I can tell. I agree the music is chaotic, but I'd also say that it's energetic, technically impressive, cathartic, and hypnotic. The only negativity I can see here is from you. People enjoy this music and that means that it has value. Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean it's devoid of positivity or artistry or anything else.
