This is my review of the Hasbro White Ranger Lightning Collection Helmet from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as a part of the Lightning Collection toy line. This item is amazing, and I absolutely recommend this for any collector or fan of the show.

I just ordered mine last night since GameStop had one for list price as it was rereleased recently, I’m a little worried about the size on me, as I have the pink one and it fits my chin and everything but it’s so narrow and crushes the sides of my skull. I’m hoping white is more round and I don’t have a big chin as I’m 16F. Either way it’ll be a great display piece.

I have the exact same problem with the pink helmet, rest assured that all the other helmets in the line fit much better and are more comfortable for sustained ware.

@@MightyMorphinDJ that’s good, I need to take the strap out of the pink one but I have less strength in my hands than a literal newborn seal, and I’ll need to put padding in if I want to wear it. The again tho it’s signed by Amy Jo and David Yost so maybe I’ll just leave it for display

Well that sucks cuz they cancelled the Lightning Collection. I’ve been waiting on the yellow helmet and they scrapped it right before they were set to announce it.

I love it on display, but the sizing on these helmets is way off for their supposed target audience. I have a small head (hardhats are always too big on me and I wear a youth or adult small helmet for everything that's sized), and these are still too small on me. My nose and ears hit the shell, and my chin is always exposed. I remember reading years ago that they were intended to be true 1-1 scale, but the Sentai actors weren't the largest people out there, and their helmets look to have had more material to cover chins. Additionally, in order to use them for stunts, they were worn very bare and with tape/padding on the inside, and of course designed to have a very slim profile with looks in mind before comfort.

I'll check some online retailers, they may re-release it in light of JDF's passing. but I'd look on Facebook Marketplace place, just be prepared to PAY for it.

Lol, I don't even think my head is all that big to be honest. But I've recently worn it in cosplay, and using a white sock and hood, It actually didn't look bad at all.
