Correction: Absolution buffs DMG% by 16% per stack and not 12%. In the weapon sheet this is correct but on the card it isn't! To adress the leak from today: I am not sure if that leak is true (it sounds kinda stupid) and I'm not sure if Thundering Fury is better. It's up on Hakush.in and Project Ambr, but not on HomDGCat. In Aggravate you'd still end up with 15 second uptime which is very high. You theoretically could swap out early but all my points still stand. You're better off refreshing buffs and at that point Thundering Fury is just useless again unless you rotate very fast, but idk if it's worth losing the DMG% from Whimsy. I would say it's best in slot if you barely cant 1-rot stuff with Whimsy and need the higher DPR but otherwise I still recommend Whimsy.

I already got my Clorinde Build ready, it has circa 54% CR and 250% CD (Foliar Incision), along with 130% ER and 100 EM, it's looking kinda good so far Update: It's so fucking Clorind-over

Clorinde did not deserve this. Was so excited for her that I even regretted caving in and getting Arle c2 instead of Clorinde and her Sig but at this point? Nah I’m happy. I’ll “build pity” on her banner and see how good she is if I somehow get her. I might save for reruns. I found her NA = BoL = Skill playstyle so interesting but I really don’t care anymore atp. I’ll literally whale if she gets a miraculous buff that makes her stronger than she was before this mid nerf.

Most have more downtime than dps issue is they have longer time on field normally 10s not 7.5 unless Clorinde gets some bullshit power up this will be annoying as hell.

If they don't revert today's changes on release this will be the last straw for me, the nepotism hires at the "balancing" team simply take too much of the fun away from this game for it to be worth sticking to. I just don't have it in me to look forward to yet ANOTHER character for a whole year only for them to end up below average. The nerf actually feels malicious, she was an above average unit that was only barely edging out yae miko and keqing and was bound to be powercrept the mili second a unit with better electro application was released, but they went ahead and made her worse than her v1 state , in a game where Neuvilette is allowed to exist and leave the beta unscathed. No i won't be playing honkai slop rail either , never touching another game by mihoyo

I agree, companies should not be inserting their opinions or biases onto their characters, it's unprofessional and a dumb way to lose revenue from a business perspective. And for some odd reason they also love nerfing characters with unique and fun playstyles

Absolution passive stacks at R1 was changed from 12% to 16% btw. Also some leaks today said her skill duration got cut from 9 seconds to 7.5 seconds. Thundering Fury stonks just went way up.

In my calcs Absolution was correct, it was just wrong on the card lol As for the duration change, I'm not 100% sure if it's true (sounds kinda stupid if it is) and even then I think all my points still stand

Im so angry. I am still going to pull for her, but that nerf has made her pretty average to be honest. i just want an awesome electro dps i have all electro characters built well. But none of them really fill a full on dps role like other elements have. Still pulling but disapointed, hopefully they buff it up to 10s instead of the stupid 7.5 it is.

I'm confused with your suggested talent priorities. You said that normal attack is the least priority but also suggesting artifacts and teams that buffs normal attacks. Please clarify.

No problem! Clorinde's skill is where all the damage scaling comes from, but the attacks still count as Normal Attack damage! It's similar to how Cyno's damage is based on the level of his burst, but it still is Normal Attack damage. Hope this helps!

Thundering Fury should be BIS or at least better than Whismy now because Clorinde Night Vigil Duration changed from 9 seconds --> 7.5 seconds in recent beta change.

I'm not 100% sure if it's true (sounds kinda stupid if it is) and even then I think all my points still stand. You're better off refreshing buffs and at that point you might as well just run whimsy for the DMG%. Only scenario I see TF being best in is against a boss and you barely don't get the 1-rot with Whimsy, but at that point just farm energy lol.

@@ThundahPrimeThe leak is true, and I too think that Thundering is her most comfortable set, or in other words, her BiS. I tested the set on Keqing and tried to use a similar rotation I would with Clorinde and I can definitely say that even if the skill cd reduction gets "wasted" by setting up a rotation, it is still way better for emergency situations that can bery much happen in abyss. In my opinion, Uptime>damage (at least with Clorinde).

I would say yes cause as u level her up her crit dmg increases I believe between 22%-33% ( could change ) so u can focus more on building her crit rate

According to my calculation, the signature is still still be better than C1, but C2 is better than the weapon.

Clorinde is such a cool and lovely design character. It's a shame that Mihoyo fear of excessively power creeping her past raiden results in her having trash damage numbers for a main dps. She is effectively being called electric ayato right now, and her dps comparison right now are ayato, keqing and c0 raiden.

@@ThundahPrime Oh i heard this from theory crafters that legit showed her damage numbers are quit mid to low for a DPS. She's currently said to be only 15% stronger than C0 raiden, who isn't really that good of a DPS at C0.

@@shonenhikada9254 what I read was only around 3% better on average in different teams vs c0 raiden main dps, and like the other guy said, that was before the nerfs released earlier today. From what I can tell, she now has less than 50% uptime without TF, and is now more or less tied to teams with longer rotations without TF (e.g. yae > fischl) if you don't want a bunch of downtime. I'm still gonna pull for her because I don't need stronger units, but its a shame. I feel like a nerf to her uptime just made her potentially a lot less FUN to play, which is what I am mostly looking for at this point...

Guyss I need help so im currently on guarantee 57 pity. Should I get Clorinde or waits for Furina? I Love both so much but I have a fully build Keqing so I dont know if I should get another electro dps. While Furina obviously good in any team

Well, go for Furina but keep in mind she's a double edged sword. It's like playing with Rifthounds because of her HP party draining mecanism. I considered pulling for her, but that mecanism pisses me off and a lot of players are regretting getting her. Meta slaves hyped her wayyy too much. This is why I won't listen to those Dehya treatment doomposting. According to them, litterally every chara was nerfed to mid before release. Alhaitham, Neuvillette, Navia etc. Numbers mean nothing, you have to play it for yourself and see how it'll fit your teams and ressources. I'm planning to go for Clorinde. I'm lacking an electro DPS that can carry and she's the only Fontaine character that I actually like. So IGAF if she's not meta. DPS releasing at the end of a region are often set for the upcoming one anyway
