I almost began to doubt myself but had to keep reminding myself that I have tested it thoroughly and I was certain that it is really good and really fun. I played LS/MS Scion armor stacker last league and absolutely loved it, this build looks quite fun as a league start. I love melee builds! Sure it can be a pain hitting all the Vaal skills/keeping smite up/totems etc while positioning intelligently but man is it rewarding.

I think LS' built in conversion to lightning has a higher prio to convert than unholy might for example.

Did you try returning projectiles yet? It's one of the best gems you can get especially with single target, and the vall lightning strike is insane with both clearing hard packs and killing a boss if placed correctly, also returning projectile is great for a more consistent life leech (if you are using life leech)

Hey :) yeah so long as you can get a decent base crit on your claw with decent damage! I'm probably going to make the transition soon too without this exact claw. Just make sure you have enough accuracy and remember to remove Precise Technique. I hope you're enjoying the build!

Hey :) unless there's a very good reason for it, I wouldn't! The claw tech we have is extremely powerful. But if you know what you're doing you will be able to figure out which points to take on the tree to make swords work :)

I haven't yet - I only got around to testing the sorta middle investment that you see in the PoB, but Turtle's version (which needs tweaks to make it 3.24 Viable), is most likely what I'll aim for later when I get a chance!

hey buddy. i wanna play frost blades or venom gyre or spectral throw with herald of ice, beause i like the herald explosions. wwhich one is the best for league start or should i better take the lightning strike and transition later into dex stacking or something like that ? i only saw spectral throw as dex stacker and frost blades as trickster, but i like the speed from raider or deadeye. venom gyre look like they do only chaos damage now ? i saw the build from kobeblackmamba and it was herald of ice. i dont know exactly what hass changed so far, but something hass happened with his father i think and thats why he quits doing youtube videos. so any suggestins guys ? oh and like always lolcohol. keep doing what u do ;-) u do it good. sry i am from germany XD dont know exactly if its the right grammar ^^

I wouldn't recommend it :( I have run it to level 80-ish a couple of times in SSF and it was fine, but you'll probably start wishing you were playing Trade league around the time you get close to doing Eater/Exarch

We aren't playing HC lol. The majority of SC league starter guides have like 6k phys max hit when you turn off their molten shell - turn on Molten Shell and Fortify like other people do to see the true potential! :) But for pinnacle bosses, leech helps a lot, but this build isn't designed to bosses so it's not really a big concern

Great video and guide is great. I am running a champ version did not realise even with elusive and nightblade that a good crit amulet gives so much DPS. It has definitely taught me a thing or two. Really like the fact there is no click bait too and you are straight up honest that new players will find it rough and as all experienced players know the campaign is gonna be brutal this league.

Lightning strike is one of the most annoying skill to play. I admire people who like it. Clearing a map like burial chambers is so freaking aids. It's not about the gear or damage, it's the skill itself. Unless you live in strand 24/7, it's simply unfun. I will probably never play it again. I am not saying people should not play it. I am saying that if you have never done it, there is a possibility you might be super annoyed with it. It's one of those you either love or hate with nothing in-between.

I never had problems with it mechanically and I simply love how it feels visually. Especially the mtx is simply banger. The biggest downside for me is the reliance on totems still.

The main problem mechanically that the projectiles get stuck on the tiniest little obstructions. A little twig on the ground, a single step down...all those things block the functionality, make it quite frustrating.

Raider is a bit easier to gear cuz of supression and ailment immunity on ascendancy tree but looses a bit of tankiness when compared to champion. Are there any other points im missing? Cant really decide which ascendancy to pick.

My version is very squishy during the campaign so there's a higher skill requirement, whereas Champ gets Fortify very early on which is huge for early defence. Raider is also faster and closer to EB. I'd say go Champ if you're less comfortable with this skill, and Raider if you're more experienced and want to try something a bit different

Great looking build. With all of the technicalities, would you recommend this to an experienced SSF player or is it too dependent on hard to obtain items?

Hmm...It depends how experienced and what kind of content you're planning to run? Perseverance and Darkray's are Tier 4 uniques, so they're fairly common, but that doesn't you'll find them super easily. Also I'd definitely only do it if you're planning to do Rog crafting. I've run the build from 1-85 in SSF a couple of times and it felt good, but toward Red maps I kinda wished I had access to trade just to get those few little upgrades that would make the biggest difference to the overall damage and survivability. So yeah, check out the build, see what you think -- if you really know what you're doing, you could pull it off in SSF. but I wouldn't recommend it over many builds that are much more SSF-friendly

Hey :) this build will face similar issues and gearing as Boneshatter -- I definitely wouldn't play it if that's not something you're looking forward to! There will be a lot of crafting on this build (unless the items can be bought cheaply on trade). I will be there to help but definitely don't play it if you don't like crafting or gearing a lot!

@@NightWolf007AAlright :) Well, nice to have you on board - if you're not in the Discord, definitely hop in as it will be easier to give you advice as you need it. The build will feel slow for the first few acts if you get bad gear, but will really pick up a lot after Act 6, and then more after you've done your second lab. Just be prepared - if you like, you can watch my campaign run that I streamed yesterday -- that run had TERRIBLE RNG, which could happen to you, so go double check what you're getting into! :)

It would help! The difference is that Champion will be a lot easier early on, especially this league -- you get early Fortify and nice damage, whereas I run around the first 6 acts with sub 1k life, before tanking up later into the endgame. If you liked the Champion version, it's still great!

@Lolcohol OK good to know, but I'm intrigued about the QoL improvements especially getting lots of avoid elemental ailments in the ascendancy because that was a thing I remember being a pain to max out, but yeah this seems familiar like single dps spacing, claw/shield and abusing perseverance I had a really good time that league even tho it was regarded as one of the worst leagues ever just because LS was so cracked but I wasn't squishy

If you want to go full endgame with it, you need strength stacking and chaos convert anyway. I obliterated the game with it, but be careful Original Sin is expensive as hell

I'd say Raider is massive QoL on league start and eaiser because you aren't using as many suffixes or points to get suppression or ailment immune. Champ will be tankier earlier on but cant go EB before Diadem but gets Adrenaline which is huge

@@Lolcohol Champ also gets to capitalize perseverance which is huge for attack builds before you get mageblood. I hate proc-ing adrenaline though. Personally I'd go Slayer stacking frenzy charges + endurance charges for the most damage, decent speed and decent defence. Trickster is also a great option especially for EB route, but Raider does have a niche of being great at league starting.

Just finished leveling this. Acts 4-6 were the least enjoyable. You will probably hate your life before level 45ish. Once you get dual wield claws online life is good.

@@Lolcohol Yeah I know I was surprised myself. I think I just got lucky with vaal lightning strike drop in A6 side zone and I blitzed through the second half of the campaign. Turtle's version can do ubers. This version, no. If you're even thinking about bossing on this, don't do it! The pinnacle dps is cringe before you get half decent gear

Nah I wouldn't. I played it to about 84 in SSF and you really want Perseverance to start further scaling the damage. You could make it work but I wouldn't recommend it

I think you underestimate the amount of knowledge you have in this game. People struggle with much simpler builds :( this game is hard
