I learned a lot and was able to import a group of photos as I was viewing the video. I needed to import them into an existing folder, which wasn't covered in detail. I was extremely anxious to press IMPORT! But it happened! Thank you for your excellent soft voice videos.

Sir first of all thanks a lot for your tutorials,the best ones I've come so far. I have a few doubts though since i don't have a harddisk right now. I've done the following I am currently taking photos in my phone (captures in DNG by default),so what I've done with a few of my photos is : *Imported them from my phone to a photograph folder in disk E with subfolders according to photos * Created a catalogue in the same folder *Now while importing the photos to Lightroom i chose the "ADD" option since the rest of them didn't make sense to me cause all of the photos are still going to be in that same folder and not transferred to any other drives or disks. Did i make a mistake?will this cause trouble if i wanted to transfer files to a harddisk at a later stage? Please help me out☺️

Hi. No, converting the file to a DNG doesn't compromise the quality at all. It simply replaces the file extension. Hope that helps 🙂

What will happen to my pics if I no longer have access to Lightroom and have moved them to the lightroom catalogue and deleted them from my pictures folder on my mac hd.

If you have all your photos in the app pictures? How do you move, export or migrate them to lightroom. Would be extremely grateful if I got some tips

frank-i also would be VERY interested in how to move an ENTIRE library from Apple's Photo app directly into Lightroom.
