Man of Constant Sorrow is one of my favorite of their songs. It is an old country standard but they breathe new life into it.

In concert the tenors make a big fuss because the bass is singing tenor. They scold him and he proceeds to sing in his expected range. Those dirty looks are hilarious.

The group has been around since 2000, but hit it big around 2013 when they won the Singoff TV show. Rob Lundquist (second from left in the above vid), Chris Rupp (cowboy hat, center) and his brother Adam Rupp (beatboxer, far right) are from Minnesota and are basically the founding members. They've had many members in the other spots over the years. But the above lineup was what won the Singoff. And the only change since then is that Chris left in 2016 to do solo work and was replaced by Adam Chance. Chris Rupp now performs with his sister Tristin and some other folks. He has the YT channels Chris Rupp Official, and 7thAve Band.

Tim Faust sang the lead in this one, but all of them can and do lead in other songs. Adam the beat boxer has never taken the lead as far as I know, but does a drum solo at their live performances. He was one of the founders of the group and still arranges some songs.
@dolasfudge7053 жыл бұрын
Adam Rupp takes a brief lead in "How Great Thou Art" and another or two I can't recall right now. Plus, all of them have beatboxed at one time or another, but Adam does really excel at it.

You misunderstood the "moment of anticipation". The other guys were giving him dirty looks because he was singing up in "their" registers. Then he sings extra low to make up for it. They often do something like this in their live concerts.

@@markmoscatello9461 Awesome response. Yeah, Dani, these boys are really good guys, they are super much fun, and have a relationship that's unbreakable. They are perfect together :) Watch some more of their videos, and you'll notice how they play with each others "domains", and even switch them around, for a totally awesome display of skill :)

This is so good. They have a lot of fun with this song in a concert. He goes really low in the concerts. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing tenor too. They’re all so talented. Try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Seven Bridges Road, Country Roads to hear great harmonies.

Tim has such a clear and deep basso profundo, and since he has a 5 octave range it allows the other members to sing wider ranges. Outstanding! Great reaction. ✌️😎

Artists are very misunderstood. Your a very smart and sweet girl. Never lose who you are, but always grow baby girl. Times are changing now for the better and I'd like to think I was part of that. I'll always be here for you. Don't forget the little people and don't let anyone break your spirit. Constructive Criticism is what to look out for. I wouldn't waste my time if you weren't worth it.

Hello dani, awesome reaction video of home free cover of josh turner song called your man. The members of home free are the bass singer Tim foust, Rob lindquist ,he is a tenor, then austin brown a soprano, then another austin who is the beat boxer. At the time crazy life cd was out chris rupp. Was with the band as well.i think there is another member named chance as well. Dani I hope to have your belated birthday gift out at the post office tomorrow ok. Have a great rest of your night Bob steinmiller.
@hellefur66313 жыл бұрын
Just to correct a couple of things, Austin is not a soprano, but a coutertenor/ high tenor. And the beatboxers name is Adam Rupp, brother to, and cofounder with Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016, in good terms, to persuit his solo career, and Adam Chance stepped in, and boy they hit the jackpot with that choice. Chris do know to pick an heir.

Tim Foust and Geoff Castellucci both have a rough range of A0-A5. I believe Tim has the lowest chest note of the two but both are incredible. Two completely different natural tones. I can't rank them. I know Avi Kaplan is comparable and his solo stuff might as well he soundtracks to war movies.
