I could tell this is a reference to the 2016 movie with the same name. Now, that reminds me. I remember my parents watched this movie. The monster is Diana, who was originally a human and was diagnosed with a rare skin condition which caused her to negatively react to light. Light is known to be her weakness, but what makes her scarier, is that she can also disable your lights to kill you.
