I love General Grievous but damn does it get annoying when I make a button input and it doesn't work putting me in a bad situation, naruto running in circles around my enemy when I thrust surge, looking like Im still unrelenting assault but actually not because I cancelled the ability, and getting headshot while using unrelenting assault which makes no sense since the light sabers cover my face while spinning

As a maul main, I can say that you got basically all his strengths and weaknesses correct, but another one of his strengths is outdoor maps in which he can throw people off the map. Some examples are Kamino, Geonosis, Death star 2, etc.

8:57 "he's not very good when facing down groups" He can be... in fact he can be VERY good at completely eliminating an entire enemy team in HvV. Key is the element of surprise and an enemy that hasn't distanced themselves from one another. If you see a group of enemies going to town on a cornered ally and you are playing as Dooku, you've got a chance to wreck house and rack up a ton of kills. Activate duelist, rush in behind the group of enemies, and just start swinging... they will all melt and your screen will be full of elimination notifications. This also works well on large groups of clueless infantry who didn't realize you were there until just a second ago. Dooku is a room clearer if you make use of duelist (and his force lighting) and can catch your opponents off guard.

i think dooku's lightning stun isnt intended for crowd control, its more for 1v1 dueling because it has a much shorter range than a force push or any other ability designed for crowd control. plus it doesnt knock enemies back, it just knocks them down meaning you can easily get in an attack while they are down.

Playing as any hero is difficult when all my enemies literally turn tail and run and jump away or target switch all the time. Its always very bothersome chasing my enemies across the map and almost never initiating the fight.

Its interesting that mauls damage is lower because in fallen order using the double sided lightsaber also makes you swing faster but does less damage. I think it has a lot more to do with how the double sided saber is they wanted to be more realistic. It has two blades so you can keep attacking but you cant really get full swings in because of the other blade so it lacks power.

I used Grevious without the Sith Trained Star Card, and he had very low stamina. Instead of losing a lot of stamina when blocking, he should only have a 50% chance of blocking projectiles because he’s not force sensitive.

Palpatine is my favorite character in the Star Wars universe, although I find it a bit too easy to use him online. I kept racking up 100 killing sprees back when morons said he was underpowered, leading to the buffs that broke him. I find Grievous a bit more interesting to use in this game, though. He's probably my favorite to play as, followed by Dooku. Dooku has such a beautiful and sophisticated fighting style. Love it! I'm forgetting Kylo now, though. He's so fun to use as well. I'm always pumped to use the dark side heroes. Light side, not so much. I just find them uninteresting except for maybe Luke and Obi Wan.

I have been a General Grevious main for quite a while and have all purple cards for him, the strad I use is kinda let the enemy charge me, use main ability, then possibly finish with swings. I only really use thrust surge if I’m feeling or playing aggressive and claw rush away when I know I’m possibly going to lose or die.

Darth vader and maul ate my favourite... mainly because of the force choke abilities. When you kill somebody with vaders choke its so satisfying the sound it makes is too. Also when you defeat somebody with mauls choke hold thats probably the most satisfying the sound it makes when you throw them then they die its not satisfying when you throw them off the map.

Grievous is the answer to clone OP commandos. Regular lightsaber attacks can 2 or 3 shot them and if they try to dodge, use unrelenting advance and it just eats them. I usually like to forceful thrust them to knock them down and then unrelenting advance. It’s more satisfying if they can’t get a dodge in

Im a dooku and anakin player, you are right. Dooku can't fight a long range character, because he doesn't have a card that makes him moves fast, unlike griveous's thrust surge or maul's spin, but he is good at his middle ability, which I always use when doing a 1v1 duel.

Last night I played an hour and a half march of kashyyyk cs, idk if I’m a grievous god or if most of the enemies were just bad but I had a 174 killstreak (literally the only time that match that I wasn’t grievous was the first five kills (out of 250) that I got that game. You can lead them to attack groups. General grievous is more of an infantry killer (even though he’s known for slaughtering Jedi) so having infantry yourself for support is very useful

I'm watching this in 2020, and I think general greivous is a LOT better now. His abillities are fixed, with a trained now only drains 20% more stamina, and above all that! He has a slightly larger stamina pool, is still very methodical, and still has all that original strengths! Best hero on the dark side in my opinion.

These are really fun videos. It's great to hear another player's thoughts on these characters in such an organized way. I've just gotten ALL heros to at least level 12. That seems to be a big milestone. Whether it was the playtime it took me to get there, or the cards and their levels now available, or probably both, I am now able to have a good time playing about 95% of the time. Even if my team is getting melted in HvV, I can still get some satisfying individual kills and assists (fighting the good fight). It seems like about a third of the time I'm on a team that steamrolls the other team, about a third where it's a tough, close battle to the end, and about a third where my team is getting flattened. Not a bad mix! One of the most fun matches I've had yet was one where we lost pretty badly (final score was 0 to 20). It was in Jabba's palace, and the dark side other team was hanging out in the rancor pit. We got suckered in there for a few rounds of dying, but finally we all figured out, yeah, we're gonna lose at this point, but we can have fun blasting and bombing them from above while we are losing. Take that, rancor pit strategy! Speaking of getting to 12, I got to 12 first with Palpatine, and the last to get there was Boba. Is that typical? Boba is a lot of fun, but it definitely took me the longest to get barely competent with that character.

I find dooku is amazing against blobs of infantry. Hit duelist and stun infantry with lightning and you can cut through infantry like butter. I've done it several times at key moments in congested spots. Only issue is he tends to lose health rapidly so I do soon after but sometimes I have enough credits to get him again

I love to play Grevious. He can deal with a lone trooper or two and with fighting a hero I would thrust surge the unrelenting advance, which does surprisingly a lot of damage, and then attack. One time I was in a hallway and I activated unrelenting advance, moved forward and got a 6 kill streak.

Another Vader weakness could be the fact that whenever he jumps it takes him very long to fall back into the ground, this leaves you exposed to damage and headshots from blaster enemies (specially Han solo and Chewbacca)

i like grivous maul and dooku a lot a special grivouus because his danage output is insane. and maul because he´s so handy to play with his speed and dooku is melting actually groups of enemys that are at range. nice vid like you a lot

Loved Dooku when he came out, he was so powerful and nobody knew how to deal with him... Now I find him a bit too predictable against most and easily countered face-2-face, unless a dedicated Dooku main who can really make use of the extra dodge. All other darkside sabers for me personally over him, especially the twisted Skywalker bloods ♥️

Vader is my favorite too for his throw LS. I killed 7 to 9 soldiers with buffed LS cards. Its just crazy and his health increase ability makes him almost last man standing. Then Palatine

Kevin Norwood honestly I never play the starfighter modes. I don’t know much about the ships other than Yoda is small and fast, Poe and Luke is OP, and Boba gets sweet multi kills lol I could do it but I’d like to get better with all the ships first before I give an honest opinion

@@TheStarBazaar Glad you liked it. My second question was I'd like to get your opinion on some Hero Concepts I've come up with if they ever decided to do an Old Republic DLC for this game. If the characters get released in pairs, like this game has typically done, then here are the pairs and/or characters I'd like to see (they go Hero Vs. Villain): Satele Shan Vs. Darth Malgus, Nomi Sunrider Vs. Darth Traya, Ullic Qel-Droma Vs. Exar Kun, Bastila Shan Vs. Darth Sion, Meetra Surik (The Jedi Exile) Vs. Darth Nihilus, and last but certainly not least, Darth Revan Vs. Darth Malak. I've also come up with some specific Hero Concepts for Revan, Bastila and Meetra themselves, and I'm going to list them one at a time and I'd like to know your opinion of them, starting with Meetra Surik (Human Female) (please remember that my ability lists go in the following order: Left, Right, Upper Center, Lower Center): Weapon: Single, Silver (blade color) Lightsaber. Fighting Style: Similar to Rey, but with a bit more discipline and power behind her swings, not wild and untrained like Rey's fighting style is. Ability 1: Force Illusion-Similar to Obi-Wan and Rey's Mind Trick ability, but instead of inverting controls, causes enemies to see more opponents on both their radar and in front of them than there actually are (for example, instead of one Meetra, they now see FIVE Meetras, four of which are illusions), and attacking these illusions causes damage to the affected enemies. Ability 2: Point-Blank Push-Meetra surges forward, does a leg sweep to knock her opponent onto the ground, then does a Force Push at point-blank range right into their FACE. This ability will have multiple charges (three or four), and damage-wise, it can one-shot ALL of the standard trooper classes, take off about HALF of the reinforcement classes' health, and about a QUARTER of enemy heroes/villains health (it's a full-power Force Push at point-blank range so it's going to do a LOT of damage) (This ability was used by Bastila Shan in the Star Wars fan film Knights Of The Old Republic: Shadows Of Corruption). Ability 3: Life Transfer-Meetra sacrifices half of her own health to instantly fully heal ALL of her surrounding allies. This ability does not reduce her health permanently to half amount. It WILL regain, but it will be slower than normal health regen time. Ability 4: Force Storm-Meetra taps into the Dark Side (she is a Grey Jedi, following Revan's example) and summons lightning bolts to fall from the sky and strike all enemies around her for the next 30 seconds (that time can be reduced if you feel it is too OP). Meetra's movement (walking/running) speed will be cut in half while this ability is active.

Thanks for the extremely helpful information, this will definitely improve my gameplay experience. So far Darth Maul is my favorite. I know he's not the best dark side hero but he's my favorite Sith Lord and seems to have a good balance. Lord Vader is dope as is Kylo, I haven't played with Grievous or Dooku yet but they seem well worth trying. Trying to figure out my favorite main, but I'm a BF2 noob only been playing for a little over a month every here and there. But I love the breakdown explanations of abilities and strengths and weaknesses very informative! Great job, you got yourself a new sub! :)
