Thanks for sharing. This is a good overview to show the separation between Data Management and Data Governance. I find these terms are often confusing to newbies.

My pleasure. Thank you for watching. I think that the terms can be even confusing to some vendors. :)

Tbh. Very vague. Why pay for a maturity model? Its just a guide where u as company are now. A few sentences is enough. Are we chaotic or organised. And everything in between. What is our goal and how to get there. Its not rocket science. And certainly not paying for those expensive power point tigers.

It depends on the maturity model. When you purchase one, you don't just purchase the guide, but also an external assessment/review and as well as a to-be plan and actionable items based on your organization's requirements. But, if all you need is a high level idea, then definitely there are a few free models out there that can provide valuable inspiration. I have articles on quite a few of them on lightsondata.com

@@LightsOnData u could show and explain a model or provide your experience working with a model. What did the company do after this insight.

@@mathijs9365 thank you. Those are different topics though and I will aim to cover them in other videos. Meanwhile, I have a free webinar that you can watch that provides a quick overview of some of these models, as well as 10+ articles that offers a lot more details on the models from Oracle, IBM, Kalido, Gartner, etc.: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIayoIegZ8yarLM www.lightsondata.com/?s=data+governance+maturity+model&tcb_sf_post_type%5B%5D=post&tcb_sf_post_type%5B%5D=page I hope that you'll find these helpful.
