To everyone out there who wants to build this model: Please remember that the 1/12 Formula 1 kits from Heller are BY FAR the worst ever plastic kits of an F1 car ever made.....!! Even worse than Protar....!!! Not kidding. Alas, if you want a Ligier in this scale, there is only one option....... Unless you scratch build one.

I am just finishing Protar's Ferrari 126 C2 in 1/12, and while I was warned about the quality, I'm happily surprised. The build was nice and parts fit well. I am hugely considering going for that JS11, what are the problems exactly ? Parts not fitting, lack of detail ?

@@Nico-9138 Did you say the parts fit well...? Of that Protar kit...?? Now _I_ am truly surprised! Those Heller kits are really terrible. The plastic is way too soft and too brittle. Parts don't fit and the detail....you'll have to add yourself. If you have patience and enough skills for scratch-building you might give it a try. Oh.... Buy aftermarket decals !! They are much better than the ones from Heller !!!

@@telescopereplicator I'll admit some gaps can be found on 1 or 2 occasions, but always in blind spots anyway. I bought the kit brand new, even the decals hadn't turned yellow. Okay I'll be reconsidering buying the JS11 then. I wanted to go for the Alfa Romeo 179 from Italeri but it's discontinued and nowhere to be found for reasonable prices...

@@Nico-9138 ... Then you got lucky. You got a decent cast. Everybody says these kits are horrible. I have built many, many F1 kits, in many different scales. These Heller kits are the worst. But if you really want a Ligier in scale 1 to 12, unfortunately, this kit is your only option.....

​@@Nico-9138 The last of the Protar F1 kits fit well with the McLaren MP42C , and the Ferrari 126C2 Turbo.That is because Protar reduced their 800 piece kits way down and concentrated on fit quality.
