Hey JT! Mervyn here! Just wanna share something bad abt the Mr Octopus Dyneema (black Fog) version. Had the bag over 2 mths Was on a hike to take some photos at a park (Sungei Buloh) and it pored massively. Was walking in the rain for like half an hour or more. Finally upon reaching the car I found the bag to be totally drenched. It’s like the Black Fog dyneema was soaked through. Water really permeated through! Thank God my camera gear was weather resistant! What compounded was the stitching all around also played a part with water ingress -not surprising -normal to me. However, its a new bag and was surprised this happened in its first torrential experience was half expecting the material to at least hold up and not absorb water- guess nature wins in this case. However, the only portion that was not wet was the Velcro panel behind the front panel which was bone dry as it was thick layered. I left it to air dry and it dried up less than half day. Seems to me the ‘China’ dyneema (black fog) is not that legit or water tight VS the dyneema of the GRXC1. Am having second thoughts I really love this bag for being a light weight and comfy edc and daily usage. Just that the bag material is not that legit :P

Thanks for that. There is a good video from the Carryology mod Becky Johnson where she sprays both this and the GRXC1 with a house repeatedly for like five minutes. The amount of water in each bag that soaked through was similar. I think the moral of the story is no bag is good in that type of weather. Best option is a cover.

Can I ask how this material has held up for you? I'm a little wary of just Dyneema, but if it's Dyneema AND 500D Cordura, that'd be a bit different!

Same… been sitting in my cart and waiting to pull the trigger. Almost jumped on the Nitecore BP18, which appears to be a low end Mr Octopus collab with lii gear.

I think that's exactly what it is. I will say this bag has been surprisingly great in use.

You know, I've never been really into tactical bags. But this kinda post-apocalyptic tactical style, I'm super into

Hey! Came across the origina, design of this pack, it is made by the brand Strato (Viper 26L) their pack run for around 350-400 CAD dollars

Hey dude! Nice find! It reminds me less of the Spartan not that I have them side by side so that makes sense.

Can your review the Foxtrot Block 2 by Bravocoworldwide?? It’s impossible to find a single review on it.

Maybe some day! I looked at their website, I'm for sure more drawn to the Axis though I think.

Hi, have a question, can you use it with only one strap as a sling, same as Nitecore BP18?
@Tricroman2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the straps are fixed with velcro and can be removed.

Similar to nitrocore bp18 collab with LiiGear
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
Similar since they are both Liigear and based on the same bag. This one has far superior harness system though.
