Thanks Andy, I agree with you, good test battery for the BMS's

Hope to see the 3kw xing ping inverter getting repaired! I have the same one and apart from one of the voltage meters failed, it's still working reliable as ever, I also have the same in the 6kw version for a year now and it's had no issues so far. The bigger brother is doing well running most of the house, two fridges, heat pump boiler, AC unit and all the network and computers plus all the TV's..... The washing and drying machines..... With two 270ah battery banks which just isn't quite enough.... Thinking about getting another battery bank but I don't think that it's going to be the last! I haven't needed to give my inverters any attention, but if there's capacitors inside that are expanding or worse leaking, I might have to open them up to have a look and see how things are going.... Replacing capacitors are one thing but if they fail and take out other components..... Could get harder and more expensive to repair.....

The display itself is likely to be draining the battery too.

Yes most all those small meters hav menu's and sub menus and sub menu's I purchased some really nice ones dif colors, on amazon no instructions on it tons of sub menu's, so I went back on Amazon and all the ins were there for me to print up it was the only way soooo many sub menu's, very informative info thank you. 🙃

I was doing a 230Ah parallel top balance yesterday and had the pack at 3.65v and less than 1A. I stopped it there but the next morning I wondered how much it would take and was surprised that it actually took 18A gradually decreasing and took about 20mins to get back below an amp. Nothing was connected, I did the same again and again got a fair amount of extra power into it but less than the first time. Although probably fractional percentage, I wasn't really monitoring seriously and maybe I should have. What it says to me is there is either a lot of self discharge or, at the top of the curve, that last bit really does take some time on a low absorb current. I never run cells at these voltages but it was interesting. It wasn't self discharge as those cells had been left fairly full a few months ago and were still at a voltage I would consider full. If it had been doing the 18A thing every day they would have been a lot lower.

Hi Andy, another topic: what is the status of the JK Inverter BMS v15 firmware? Have you heard anything from JK? In the latest v15.30, for example, the float mode no longer works...

And what about the 100Aand the 150A version? And what about the over temperature vs under temperature error. (In the display vs the app vs the PC software.) It all should be the same. We would like you not to do the JK review yet. Stick with the community, your poll did answer your question what to do. JK does NOT. Don't fall for JK! Keep your back straight.

When capacitors leak you will need to clean that off thoroughly with IPA to get rid of it, the electrolyte is corrosive, don't leave it sitting there, especially if powered up as that creates electrolysis too, replace the cap and all the ones that are the same as the one that failed.

Hi Community members, The usage data of the Victron Multiplus 48/8000 is incorrect. These are way too high. When consumed directly from the mains (when the battery is empty) or if the PV inverters provide enough power to power the batteries and the house, Then the consumption figures are correct! However, if the battery is supplied, the consumption figures are unrealistically high. So much so that it is never possible to achieve these values with this system. What could be going on here? I've figured this out by now! INSTEAD OF USING THE JKBMS (6x) as a battery monitor (FW 15.30) I have now taken the Victron BMV as a test. Now the consumption figures are back to normal! So there is a problem in the JKBMS firmware! Hopefully it will be This will be fixed in the (yet to be released) new version.

I noticed the same thing a few months ago. The BMS starts to behave weird but it doesn't influence the overall ESS functioning so I don't mind anymore. I've included a smart shunt and have it set to battery monitor instead of the JKBMS, just to feel a bit not safe

I think is is awesome that the JK BMS reports the heating pad Current. I wired my two heating pads in series to lower the energy consumption. I think this is okay considering the insulation I added to my battery boxes.

The new BMS meant for automotive manufacturing and they won‘t except anything else then a flawless BMS software. Its then not a influencer Andy that writes error reports to some R&D guy and begs for fixing but the head of legal department of the EV manufacturer calling the CEO of JK and threatimg JK with a multi million dollar law case if the software is not fixed in 24h…looking forward to that,

Litokala has such a bad reputation that I am surprised you are testing a product from them. 3 years ago they were advertising really low prices on "brand new grade A cells" and a lot of people received obviously used, and even bloated cells.

my jk gets to one cell being charged , SOC going to 100% and the bms signals the inverter to stop charging until next day again. so batts never gets charged. even tried balancing earlier.
