赤坂の忍者ですかね？ここは1度行ったことあるんですがお料理もパフォーマンスも最高でした。最後のつばぜり合いはキル・ビルみたいでかっこ良かった。

What an exciting dinner! Everything is presented with such drama. The food looks delicious. This reminds me of a place in America that looks like a medieval castle with moat. Diners enter and experience the way people ate, big slabs of roast and vegetables, and they ate with their hands before forks were invented. There are jesters, jousters on horseback and more. But I think Ninjas are better.

以前、別の忍者レストランに行ったけど、そこも凄く面白かった。 食事後は、忍者服に着替えて手裏剣や剣の練習をし、上手くなれば忍者と勝負😊 楽しい時間でした。

Really enjoyed this time. That restaurant seems more intriguing than robot restaurant in Shinjuku. Shichirin is Ariana Grande's tattoo which she mistranslated from 'Seven Rings'. If you want to see Ninja, try Nikko Edomura. Btw, I was amazed by how much your twins has been Japanized. They've got able to take off shoes easily with standing without using hands, which I judge Japanized degree from.

Thank you for showing us the unique and enjoyable experience. We really like to experience that too. A few questions: Me and my wife know nothing about Japanese. Will there be communication issue and ruin the experience? Looks like you guys were shoes off and sitting on a mat. Would that hurt knees by bending them for so long?

It would be very helpful to have a translator or friend who speaks Japanese for this particular restaurant. And although you take off your shoes in a number of places in Japan, these tables have space below them to sit normally, so that's not a huge issue. I hope that helps!

The ninja restaurant did not have anything special in its cuisine, and seemed to entertain its customers with expressions as entertainment.😮

真面目に歴史解説をすると、戦国時代にアメリカ人のイメージする様な忍者と言う集団はいませんでした。 実際には彼等は火薬を用いたテロと奇襲でしか戦えない小勢力土豪集団の武士です。 所領が少く貧しいので他の大名に傭兵として雇われる事もありました。 大名がおらず無主の伊賀国は反権威的な独立心旺盛な土地柄でした。 当時の伊賀国は人口10万人で、織田信長公の三男織田信雄公の2万の大軍に抵抗する際、正規の戦闘員が足らず老人や婦女子もテロを行い頑強に抵抗した事で後世のイメージが出来ました。 更に江戸時代に無職の武士である浪人の内、伊賀出身の者達が現代の忍者に近い虚構を捏造しました。 更にソレを文献考古を無視した映画や小説やアニメが昭和初期に低知識階層向けに多くリリースされデタラメなイメージが出来上がりました。 実際の忍者は例えるならばイスラム国やタリバンをイメージして頂けば解りやすいかと思います。 また大名に使えた“忍び”と言うのは、先述のそれ等の忍者と異なり、低給与の低階級武士で恐らくは祖先は権力者に反抗した罪から被差別階層に成っていた者達です。 その証拠に彼等の江戸期の給与は極端に低いものでした、よって正規の軍人や官吏としての武士階級の業務には携われず他国への潜入偵察やデマを流布する破壊工作等を行いました。 上杉家では忍者と呼ばれた者達の正規の職業は商人でした。上杉家は現在の新潟や北関東を支配した大名ですが、中央政権の政情を情報収集する為に彼等を用いました。 現在で言うと商社マンに敵国の政権内の情報を探らせる感覚ですね、これは現代日本がよく用いるスパイの手段でもあります。 次に上杉家や織田家のライバルの武田家は渡り巫女と言う各地を巡礼する修験道の女性神官や神職を諜報に用いていました。大航海時代のスペイン人やポルトガル人カトリック宣教師が各国に布教しながら植民地化する為に諜報活動を行っていたのと似た様な感じですね。 最後に神奈川県の風魔忍者ですが、彼等は箱根を根拠にしていた武装した物流業者が正体です。 今の小田原市風祭や横浜市港南区日野の辺には彼等の拠点が有ったと伝わります。当時の輸送業は馬借と言い馬で商隊を編成したり馬そのものを貸し与える仕事でしたから、現代で言うと郵便局員やFedExや佐川急便が武装していて輸送網と同時に情報収集力を発揮し、時にはタリバンの様に破壊工作をするイメージです。 やはり武士階級よりは下層階級の仕事と言った所が実情で、北条幻庵と言う武将が“風魔”が暴れるなら教育的指導を行うから報告しなさいと言う主旨の古文書も現存していたりします。 つまり、映画やアニメの忍者のイメージはいい加減な歴史作家が助長させた誤りで、江戸時代に捏造されたものでしかなく、実態は被差別階級や大名に従属しない土豪テロリスト集団でした。

店内の案内って、だいたい日本語なの？　英語じゃなく日本語で説明してる方が多いみたいだけど？ 外国人が来てる場合は、ALL英語にするとかすればいいのに。日本語が全然分からない外国人だって来るだろうに。（むしろそっちの方が多いと思うけど？） こういう場所は、防火とか、避難方法とか、日頃からしっかりしとかないと、もし火災とか停電になったら、超大パニックだろうなぁ。（余計なお世話か。）
