Exactly what I was thinking, came to see if anyone else posted this, I work for an oil refinery and getting gasoline on your skin especially an open wound it very irritating and causes rashes. I'm sure the dogs happy to have the ticks removed but people please don't use gasoline on your dog like this there are plenty better ways to remove ticks.

My father was also do that when my dog got infested with many ticks but he also do different technique in order to removed those ticks.. Here's what he do. He bathe our dog with a detergent bar with a water, washed all over the body of our dog and he don't rinse it with water. He just leave our dog until the fur coat dry. (But if you have concern if your dog might get shivered, just use hair blower to let the fur dry fast). Do it for 3 days. Hoping for good result. Also, if you have money.. go to the veterinary. They might sell those shampoo that can remove ticks. My tips was low-cost only and that's the only thing that can be seen in our house. Ps. It's up to you if you are going to follow it. It's just my suggestion. 👍

I so applaud your heart and intentions to help this dog. Please do not use gasoline in a dogs ear or on his skin that could cause damage to skin and ears. Some people use coconut oil which is natural. Also just as an idea you could use ear cleaner and cotton swabs can help get all the gunk out of the ear and in between the folds in the ear. Please don't use gasoline. Please.

I'm very thankful they helped the poor pupper, and I can hear from the speaking that this is probably in another country, and while they were doing quite a few good things I only have a few things for future reference; I would recommend (if it's at all possible, understandable if it's not) using two separate things for cleaning and a place to remove the ticks, and also twisting the ticks, something happens when you twist them and it sends waves through them that confuses them into letting go safely without risking the head staying in. But again, this is very heartwarming that they did this and helped this poor pupper, and I only hope this inspires others to show this level of kindness to a creature

I lived on a farm/ranch for a lot of years , we had dogs, two of them are house dogs, every time they come in, I have to search them for ticks. In the spring/summer, those two would go in and out 6 to 7 times a day. Each time they were “searched”, 14 ticks was an average catch. I crunched them with rocks, or put them in a jar with a bit of alcohol and then burned them. I hate those freaking things. Of course sometimes I missed a couple, and I would wake up with the feeling of something crawling😳, oh Lawdy, I really hated tick season. One thing I notice is that a lot of these folks have Maybe two or three chickens, they should have 20 to 30, they love ticks and can really clean up a yard.
