James Willstrop has done an excellent job of fixing Asal’s movement. Average viewers don’t realize how important someone with the tactical class of Willstrop is to someone with raw talent of Asal. Asal is now not blocking and actually playing better because players have to go through and get balls especially across middle. Once Coll got a bit tired and nervy his quality suffered and IMO tried to use Asal’s reputation for cheap strokes. Luckily it was clear Asal did nothing wrong and deserved result in the end.

Asals lapses were pretty obvious. Just had to get him away from enablers and correct his "antics". Credit to him too for taking to the corrections. His game is a lot more decent now and he could become a dominant force in a bit.

But now in the final on match ball pretty questionable hand, I watched the full match and Asal was great up until it got tense and seems like he reverted back to the cheap stuff again.

I guess Gaultier is doing his job well. The only time Asal's movement was questioned by video referee Coll got a NO LET decision. Also, his celebration was nothing more than any of the other top pro's in a big victory. I compliment Asal and never thought I would see these days. Bravo!!!

@@FinancialFreeboGaultier is not his coach, James Willstrop is coaching him now and has, in my opinion, virtually taken all of his movement issues out of his game. A couple issues still come when he’s tired, but Coll was trying to look for cheap stuff this match just because of Asal reputation. Asal outclassed him in the last 2 games.

@@Studwick Coll just felt some contact and wanted to take a chance since he got knocked off balance. Asal generally stopped taking excessive space so there's usually not an issue anymore.

I think Coll lets Asal get into his head too much. Doesn't help that Asal is 2 places lower than Coll in the rankings and is leading in their head-to-heads by a wide margin.

James Willstrop needs to fix his temper and this stupid outrageous burst. I understand it means the world to all the players but show some sportsmanship and consideration to your opponent and the younger generation that’s watching. Maybe he needs another ban, the first one obviously hasn’t done anything?????

@@leodumora5498 no, my 8 and 10 year olds don't play in the PSA world tour...strange comment 🙂To be more direct, which I didn't think needed to be stated, Asal is a petulant child and needs to grow up. Since all his screaming antics started, other players have started to do it too. He has set a horrible standard. The PSA need to sit him down and tell him that his behaviour is not acceptable. He is supposed to be a role model. It is slightly surprising that anyone, including Asal fans, even attempt to justify this behaviour.

@@EdLo3 if your sons one day reach this kind of level you'll see how they handle it, assuming before is just a dream. You know something when you expérience it. I was the 1st to hate Asal's behavior (mainly in the game, I don't Care about screaming at thé end of a match to release pressure, he's not the 1st to do that and it started décades ago if you noticed), to the point that I couldn't watch his games anymore. Lately, if you want to notice it, and as many comments as mentionned it, he's highly erase his Bad movements behaviors in the court. This is to be honnored. Someone on the path of improvement has to applause, I think.

@@leodumora5498 this has zero to do with my children which I'm not sure you quite understand. The big problem is that Asal is a role model to all children and young players. I see no improvement at all. Look carefully at the way he reacted after he beat Coll - screaming like a deranged person and banging his chest like an idiot. Do you see Djokovic doing that in tennis, in fact do you see any other racquet sport player behaving like that?? Asal is an embarassment to himself and to the great sport of squash. He should be fined and anyone else for that matter. I have played at a decent club level for many years and even in high intensity finals, I have never seen players react like this. No, it's not comparable to the PSA but anyone who plays sport recognises this is poor sportsmanship and WHOEVER does it should be reprimanded for it. You are fighting a losing battle here and you know it.

@@EdLo3 Did you ever watch Djokovic or ? He often smashes his chest, yell at the crowd, shouting After a point. Did you ever heard about Gauthier Shorbaggy, or Ashour ? Yelling, smashing glass, walking on the walls to celebrate, etc.... I just think you want to showcase all your super high moral standards on one man (I've already said I hated his behavior during points, just to remind you a bit of nuance 😉) We're talking about a subjective opinion, how you go with a battle ? I'll let you win easily if that's your deepest wish 😉
