Kiryu fundamentally embodies every man out there and his struggles. That's why he even smokes, drinks, and goes to hostesses. Because he's human. That's why I think it's impossible to fundamentally replace Kiryu by this Ichiban guy. Kiryu is too much of an embodiment of the daily struggle for men to be replaced. Kiryu shows all men that through sheer willpower you can overcome stuff.

I am. I tried Like a Dragon and I found it way too difficult even in the early games. At least this is a return to form. Not to mention Kiryu is a great and flawed protagonist, Ichiban to me comes off like he’s trying too hard to be like Kiryu.

There are a number of themes like this that are used in a number of Yakuza games and they never make the official soundtrack. Not sure about this one though. There’s a great conspiratorial background theme from I think this game and also one of the Judgment games I’m trying to track down.

4:38:58 This kinda ruined the game for me. First Tsurno makes you jump through hoops in order to save Hanawa, Then you save him and capture Tsurno. The big boss says to silence Tsurno and his gang (sounds simple enough ok). But for some terrible reason Joryu refuses to silence Tsurno and fights Hanawa the guy he just helped like 30 minutes ago. What is Joryus plan here? He is letting himself get thrown around by all these people for no reason. He had the opportunity to help that orphanage earlier but denied it. This game was good so far but this is just bad at this point.

@@deedavis1170 id say make sure you clicked the duet option also just try to aim for a score of 90 or higher to see if that’s a issue and I guess check your map to see if there’s anything you are missing if that isn’t working watch some walkthroughs and see what they do once they get to the same spot as u. I didn’t have any issues with it when I played so I’m just shooting here.
