I just hate it when a game can’t let you progress because of a two level difference rather than you not utilizing the mechanics properly. I did everything from buffs to debuffs and it’s worth nothing if u didn’t grind for 4 hours before hand when you’re already 2 hours into this mission 🤡

I was 5 level behind, didnt want to go back to grinding at all and man was it annoying Managed to beat it in like 5-6 tries but wasnt fun at all, wish the game had an easy mode for people who dont want to grind

If you are underleveled this boss fight is very difficult and the only way to win is to aim always for the tentacles first, have a balanced party with good abilities and have luck with the head attacks, if he starts reducing your agility its over. I wanted to win it without grinding and without using items and it took me like 6 tries but at a certain point i seriously considered loading the save before the final and grind a couple of levels. I also had to use an item before the fight to raise Ichiban level by 1. For me overall it was a fun fight (most of this game boss fights are pretty easy and i appreciated the difficulty spike here and the "swallow" gimmick that makes this boss unique) but i understand the frustration of people not being able to defeat it for the level difference that is too much impactful

Wait some people have problem with him? I already figure it out moment its regen those tentacles that if I want to finished this fight real quick, I must ignore those two tentacles and aim for the head only. Maybe it has to do with the fact I'm really overleveling my party so I don't really have problem with anything in this games. Like maybe this is first RGG games which I don't really have problem with any boss. Like even Lost Judgment has that gun dude during finale long battle.

Yeah, my party was level 53 during this boss and i used Ichiban's ultimate tag team move, it absolutely destroyed all the tentacles with just that move, i even thought i shouldn't have done that, it made the boss fight too short, lol
