Apart from her being hated by fans. I hope the development team will one day clean up their relationship with Makoto and mirei. Her presence is a dark history of the series and a kind of taboo. Majima's character has been undermined and fans are still confused because of her uncomfortable relationship with her. It would be nice if the development team didn't mean that the VA of the supposed female villain in the pirate gaiden was the same as mirei park, but I think it would feel weird if majima's flashback element related to mirei exists in this work.

Hear me out Usually karaoke backscenes accompany the character's lore, like how Kiryu's baka mitai pics keep changing... So, 1) we meet an actual boy band dancing crew ingame as a joke 2) Majima still remembers Makoto, so either he recovers his memories or he didnt forget her, and considering how in Yakuza K2 we found out she was heading out of the country... Yeah
