You know, something that I noticed here is that Majima seems genuinely happy to not knowing who he actually is before his amnesia. He’s just satisfied with having a fun time as a pirate captain and not having to worry about his previous life as a Yakuza, a life that bought him so much pain and misery. I’d dare say that he hasn’t felt this happy since his days as Sunshine’s manager. It’s sad to know that when he gets his memories back, he knows he’ll have to leave his crew and go back to a life that left him miserable for most of his life.

Who knows what this story will entail but I genuinely doubt after the 8 finale of one last Millennium Tower raid, that any of the Jima trio would go back to the self loathing snowy despair lair or anything resembling it It would defeat the whole point of Kiryu (and his party too I guess lol) knocking the defeatist depression out of em and reinvigorating their fighting spirit

Dub's available at launch and it appears to have full lip sync, too. It always bugged me that only 7 and 8 got full lip sync and the rest of the games didn't, so having it is really appreciated. Hopefully, they keep this up for every game moving forward.

I think it's always been a scheduling and demand issue. With the Judgement games, they were on the back of the mind since the last English dub they did was...Yakuza 1. With Like A Dragon, they had George freaking Takei in the cast, so that was a given. Plus, it was the mainline series so consistency mattered. We already know about the whole thing with Gaiden. So now, my guess is RGG is more confident in putting in the work for the dubbing.

You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at Majima and you look at Samoa Joe and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another gangster, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But Majima's a genetic freak and he's not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat Majima. Then you add Saejima to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the 3 way, at Madlantis, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but Majima, he's got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Saejima KNOWS he can't beat Majima and he's not even gonna try! So Samoa Joe, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus Majima's 25 per chance chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Madlantis. But then you take Majima's 75% chance of winning, if you was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, Majima got 141 2/3 chance of winning at Madlantis. Joe-san, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Madlantis.

You cannot begin to imagine how long I have been waiting FINALLY here the english dub for this game. And it is GLORIOUS to Matt Mercer capture a Goro Majima that doesn't have all the decades of emotional and mental baggage from Yakuza life. Outside of that, the ship combat honestly feels more comparable to Sly Cooper 3 than Assassin's Creed Black Flag, probably from how cartoonish and over the top it feels.
