I've noticed the reason your videos are so good is that you focus and divide the licks in the most important passages, it kinda helps the brain to connect everything in the end. I've never learned an yngwie song so fast and this one is not easy! Thank you again for the lessons!
@chasingfrets3 жыл бұрын
I'm very glad you like the way the lesson is conducted, well the idea is to put myself in the shoes of someone who's trying to learn the solo and to figure out the way that would be most digestible for a person to grasp how notes are grouped, to point out those little sub-divisions within the same lick then putting the whole lick back together and connecting them in musical context so basically dividing solo into building blocks that make sense on their own so you can have a very clear picture how the pieces fit together, anyway thanks again man, cheers!

I love how you break the solo codes in fragments, playing slowly repeatedly. This is sincere care in teaching in the best possible way, with didactics, patience and an enormous wealth of details! The most curious thing: without even talking! You are the best, Frets. This Tutorial helped me learn to play this beautiful song! Ty. Regardss from Brazil!

@@chasingfrets I wish yngwie would do a whole of Paganini's 24 caprices and a bunch of other Pagainini songs. My favorite album of yngwie is the Eb concerto DVD. I have found some video lessons here and there on yngwie Eb concerto songs because he does them differently with added classical parts. Maybe we you have more time you can do yngwie Eb Concerto album because he does his licks more of how a violin players "scale sequences" and arpeggio chord tones just like what violin players do.

How many years did it take to achieve this level of playing?
@chasingfrets3 жыл бұрын
Well I've been playing for about 20+ years, but it's far more important how you practice, being aware of techniques that are efficient and produce results rather then just putting in the hours playing in the way you are accustom to but with little to no progress over time ( we've all been there :)). I highly recommend Troy Grady's amazing series where he tackles the technical approaches of many different players, really insightful stuff. Here's the link to an episode where he analyses Yngwie's approach ( there's a ton of episodes btw.) Cheers! kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4bGeXhvj92dfsU

Thanks man! I know exactly what you mean, it does sounds like he's switching pickups while bending, that note gets almost a nasal sound, very specific sounding, I even thought for a moment maybe he did a slight pinch harmonic or something but I think you got it right, he's switching pickups.
