I couldn’t imagine giving my child away. I couldn’t have children. But I have loved and cared for Booger, my 15yr old cat as if he was a child. I have to remind myself that he’s a cat and doesn’t have the emotions I have. He’s my best friend in the whole world and I don’t think I could love him anymore than I do. My heart would explode…, because it’s already full of love for him.

Masterpiece. Some of the best acting by everybody involved of anything on KZbin. Feels very real. There should prob. be more movies made that handle this kind of visceral complexity with such dexterity and gracefulness. That’s the best compliment i can think of…

I get how the biological parents want “their” child. But their decision to yank a child that age away from everything it’s known is totally selfish. As a parent, that’s what I don’t accept. That isn’t love. Losing the child in the first place is part of the consequences of the poor decisions they previously made. Grow up and accept it.

And secondly, what a thing to tell your husband when he gets out of prison. Unknown domestic violent person granted. He worked 7 years at rehabilitation, but he didn't have any women to beat up there. Telling him in a car on a dark road. That oh, you want children well? I gave your son away because I just couldn't hack it. Working a job and have a new baby. Totally selfish on her part.

@@jovanapleskonjic5726 It is a very rare case when the biological parents can get their child back. This movie presents a loophole regarding a forged signature, but it is a fictional story. I have no idea if it's based on a real-life incident or not, but it sure makes you think. (The movie ending was clearly the best outcome for this child.)

It was a kind of stupid to violate the court order and just show up and get "in the face" like that. Very arrogant, the birth parents are immature and selfish, and needs to be met in a mature way and perhaps with understanding.

Sorry. But it's very hard to watch this or have any sympathy for his real mom? Yes, I have sympathy for the father. Cause he had no idea what was going on, but she could have had the baby and given it to her family to watch or at least sign of a guardianship to a parent, instead of just giving him away and adopt him an amount and then 7 years later, or 5 years later, however, long that wanting him back. She strikes me as just being into a mature to even be apparent. The people. Have been raised at him for the last five years is his parents

poor people do not deserve to have children, it’s simply not fair to the child to be brought into a world raised by people on survival mode. i don’t have kids yet but was a live in nanny for a wealthy child & although their parents keep work a priority, at least the child is provided for and given resources to thrive. this innocent boy was traumatized just so the bio parents could have the opportunity to play house. the bio mom only wanted him once the dad brought him up. the bio dad only wanted him so he’d finally get to do something “right”
